Alert: Government's 10-Year Health Plan - Public Input Needed
The Government is creating a 10-year plan to modernise health services, with a focus on community care, the use of technology, and prevention. NCL ICB is hosting an online event to gather input on important topics such as care close to home, digital records, anonymised data, and the role of AI in services. If you'd like to take part in the next event on Thursday 6 February (6-7.45pm)

Join us for an evening dedicated to discussing and advocating for positive changes within the NHS!

20/12/2022

When strike action is taking place, it is important that patients who need urgent medical care continue to come forward as normal, especially in emergency and life-threatening cases - when someone is seriously ill or injured, or their life is at risk.

GP services are not part of strike action taking place and patients should continue to attend GP appointments unless they are contacted and told otherwise.

Patient Group meeting – Wednesday 14th July, 6 to 7.30pm on Zoom.

NHS North Central London Clinical Commissioning Group (NCL CCG) is reviewing community health services and mental health services currently provided to residents living in north central London - Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington. We are inviting Islington residents and local community organisations to attend this event to hear about both service reviews and give their views to help shape and improve.
We will be joined by Dr Katie Coleman and Jo Murfitt from the NCL CCG, who will give a presentation around the reviews. There will be time for questions and small group discussions.

To register for this event please follow this link https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/islington-patient-group-meeting-tickets-158372465307 or email Jennifer.kent@healthwatchislington.co.uk

About the services
Community health services, such as district nursing, play a key role in helping people to stay well and independent at home and in the community. They provide support across a range of needs and age groups but are most often used by children, older people, those living with frailty or long term conditions like diabetes, and people who are near the end of their life. Community health services work closely with other parts of the health and care system, such as GPs, hospitals, pharmacies and care homes.

Mental health services provide a range of mental health care and support to children, young people and adults depending on the level of mental health need, from talking therapies such as Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) services for more common mental health conditions, through to severe mental illness, such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder.

Do you live or work in Islington? If so, please come along to participate in the local community health and mental health services review.
