This April, get your prostate MRI scan for £549 (usually £599)

Prostate cancer affects 1 in 6 men in the UK, and because it often develops without obvious symptoms, many men don't know there's anything wrong until later. Early detection makes a real difference.

Prostate screening looks for signs of cancer even if you feel completely well. It's particularly worth considering if you're over 50, or black and over 45, have a family history of prostate cancer, or have noticed any changes to your urination, difficulties with erections, or pelvic discomfort.

The standard PSA blood test has well-known limitations, with false positives causing unnecessary worry and false negatives missing real problems. At Medneo, we use biparametric MRI (bpMRI), a non-invasive 20 to 30 minute scan that gives our consultant radiologists a highly detailed picture of your prostate. Don't ignore that mole.
Most moles are completely harmless, but changes in size, shape, or colour can be early warning signs of skin cancer. The good news is that when caught early, survival rates exceed 95%.

Knowing what to look for makes a real difference. Dermatologists use the ABCDE guide: Asymmetry, Border irregularity, Colour variation, Diameter larger than 6mm, and Evolution, meaning any change over time in how a mole looks, feels, or behaves. Also watch for moles that bleed, crust, itch, or simply look new. Melanoma can appear anywhere, but most commonly on areas exposed to the sun including the back, legs, face, arms, and hands.

Ovarian cancer tends to be asymptomatic until it has progressed. Signs can be subtle and easy to overlook or put down to other things such as normal ageing or menopause, which is why awareness matters.

Know the common symptoms:
1) Persistent bloating
2) Pelvic or abdominal pain
3) Feeling full quickly or loss of appetite
4) Needing to urinate more often

What to look for:
