What age can you have a rhinoplasty? We asked Mr Santdeep Paun, Consultant ENT and Facial Plastic Surgeon at Cadogan Clinic. 👃📌

Rhinoplasty can address both nasal function and structural balance, and is commonly performed to improve airflow, correct deviation, or restore nasal anatomy following injury or congenital variation.

In the UK, cosmetic rhinoplasty is subject to a legal minimum age. However, earlier intervention may be appropriate when surgery is clinically indicated, such as in cases of airway obstruction, septal deviation, trauma or congenital nasal conditions - always assessed in line with GMC guidance and patient maturity.

There is no fixed upper age limit for rhinoplasty; suitability depends on nasal anatomy, tissue quality, general health and functional need rather than age alone.

This postoperative result demonstrates the functional and structural benefits of modern breast reduction surgery, delivered through careful anatomical planning and proportion-led correction.

The procedure achieved:

• significant reduction in breast volume
• improved upper-pole support
• elevation of the nipple-areolar complex
• enhanced balance with the chest wall and torso

By removing excess glandular and adipose tissue, the operation reduces mechanical load on the neck, shoulders and upper back - commonly improving posture, comfort and daily mobility. At the same time, reshaping restores a more stable breast footprint with improved symmetry and long-term support.

This case demonstrates a measured, anatomy-led facelift focused on restoring lower-face support and jawline definition through precise soft-tissue repositioning rather than skin tension. 🪞

Pre-operatively, age-related descent of the jowl and lower facial tissues contributed to heaviness and loss of mandibular definition. The facelift addressed these changes by re-establishing structural support at a deeper level, allowing the skin to redrape naturally over a more stable foundation.

Breast augmentation performed by Mr Manaf Khatib, Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Cadogan Clinic - swipe to view the pre-operative images 👀

This case focused on restoring volume where it was structurally deficient and establishing a stable, well-supported breast framework.

Pre-operatively, the patient presented with breast hypoplasia, limited lower-pole development and reduced projection, resulting in poor inframammary fold definition and reduced internal support.

A dual-plane implant position was selected to optimise soft-tissue support while maintaining controlled implant coverage. Surgical planning prioritised fold stability, implant positioning and balanced weight distribution across the chest wall.

By restoring volume within correct anatomical boundaries, the breast mound now sits in a more stable position, with smoother contour and improved support. The nipple-areola complex is consequently brought into a more central, forward-facing position.

This outcome demonstrates how anatomical planning underpins predictable, durable results, with natural shape and symmetry following correct structural correction.

Arm lift (brachioplasty) with liposuction performed for a 57-year-old patient following a 1.5-stone weight loss, by Mr Paul Tulley, Consultant Plastic Surgeon. 👀✨

After achieving weight reduction, the patient was left with excess upper-arm skin and reduced tissue recoil, resulting in discomfort, friction and limitation when dressing and moving. An arm lift was selected to address these functional concerns alongside contour refinement.

The procedure involved controlled excision of redundant skin combined with liposuction to re-establish arm definition, improve skin integrity and restore a smoother, more stable contour.

Post-operatively, the arms demonstrate:

✔ improved contour and definition
✔ reduced skin laxity
✔ enhanced comfort with movement and clothing
