Last week, we received the sad news that our CEO, John McCafferty, will be stepping down after seven years in the role.

While Podcast Club is on a break, it’s a good time to revisit some past episodes. In Episode 8, we spoke with John about his life and the challenges he’s overcome—including his experience with disability. It’s a thoughtful and honest conversation that gives real insight into his journey.

Amazing article in The Archer this month showcasing our work. Huge well done to the incredible students at Oak Lodge School who became real-life podcasters through an inspiring 8-week project with Community Focus and .

They created their own show for the Dis-labled podcast, with jingles, interviews, and confidence to match. One student even discovered a passion for voice acting during the journey!

Register Your Interest: New Parent/Carer Support Group

We’re looking to start a parent led, weekly online support group for parents and carers, particularly those supporting someone with a disability – and we’d love to know if you’re interested.

The group would be a safe, supportive space to connect with others, share experiences, and access practical and emotional support via Zoom. Before we go ahead, we’d like to understand if there’s an appetite for this kind of group and find out when people might be available to join.
