💫 Anaesthesia 2026 💫

We are honoured to welcome Ms Laura Hamilton, Orthopaedic Consultant and Council member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, as a speaker.

Ms Hamilton will address her national work on Sexual Misconduct in Surgery, summarising recent reports and outlining efforts to improve surgical culture. She will discuss risk factors for colleagues and patients, highlight the importance of trauma-informed practice, and share guidance on supporting those seeking help or advice.

Her presentation will offer psychological insights and practical techniques to empower attendees as active bystanders.

Anaesthetists, uniquely positioned outside the surgical hierarchy, can play a vital role in fostering safer environments. We hope this session inspires greater confidence in protecting colleagues and patients.
