For stress awareness month, we spoke to Rawle Ragoobar who shared seven tips on managing wellbeing to avoid stress in the workplace.

Our roles can be emotionally and physically exhausting. We are regularly supporting people in crisis and exposed to distressing content, information or situations likely to cause stress.

Recent research cites that work-related ill health accounted for the majority of days lost at work with the average person losing 22.9 days for stress, depression or anxiety.

Join us and the Bethlem Gallery for a FREE screening and discussion for 'Something Glamorous, Something Awkward' documentary!

The short documentary commissioned and developed by Bethlem Gallery in collaboration with Mr X, a service user and Josip Lizatovic depicts Mr X building on his extraordinary structures out of found objects. These structures tell the story of his life experience. When he was confined to the ward he built a coffin to signify the death of his freedom.

Now, Mr X is preparing to leave the hospital, his objects become space vehicles to travel across societyĘĽs boundaries and engage with the people he meets along the way. These acts of exploration are crucial to understanding what life outside an institution means. He builds for us a vision of his new life.

🎉Meet Dr Martin Osugo

Dr Martin Osugo, Specialist Registrar and researcher at the Trust, received the Dennis Hill Poster Prize for his pioneering work on motivation, reward and treatment effects in schizophrenia. Martin talks about how, as part of his PhD with King’s, he examined how antipsychotic medications affect motivation, cognition and reward processing.

“By giving these medications to healthy volunteers for a full week - a world first - we uncovered important insights," he explains. "Healthy people developed similar motivational and expressive difficulties to those seen in schizophrenia. The greater the reduction in reward, the greater the motivational problems."
