What should patients understand about revision rhinoplasty? ππ»
Mr Unadkat discusses an important aspect of rhinoplasty that is not always widely spoken about. Even with the highest standard of surgery, there is a recognised revision rate, with around 15β20% of patients requiring some form of further treatment.
If you have had surgery elsewhere and are considering your next steps, it is often worth speaking with your original surgeon first. They understand the work carried out and may be best placed to guide you initially.
If further input is needed, a second opinion can be helpful. It is important to allow time for healing, typically around 12 months, before considering any additional procedure.
