SUBTLE REFINEMENT

Not every rhinoplasty needs the same approach. Sometimes, a subtle adjustment is all that’s required. Really grateful to my patient for trusting me with her care, having travelled considerable distance for her surgery.

Here, she required, gentle harmonisation of her nasal bones with the Piezo, refinement of her nasal tip, alar base reductions and preservation of the columella double break.

A tricky caudal septal dislocation with a twisted mid-third, managed with precision 👃

This is my patient’s 3-month post-op result. Still early in the healing journey with some swelling to settle, but already showing a dramatic improvement in tip symmetry and also the dorsal aesthetic lines. The changes are not only aesthetic, but also functional.

Note, there were no osteotomies needed so she had a much quicker recovery. A beautiful result that will continue to refine over the coming months ✨

RHINOPLASTY TUESDAY!

Immediate on-table rhinoplasty result from my favourite operation. My patient presented with tip asymmetry, gross septal deviation, dorsal convexity, over-projection, and increased columellar show. These were addressed through careful septal realignment, dorsal refinement, and tip rebalancing to restore harmony and proportion.

Rhinoplasty, in my view, is as much about restraint as it is about correction. Each manoeuvre must be deliberate, preserving both form and function. It is never a procedure to be rushed but when executed thoughtfully, the results should last a lifetime.

I’ll be following up with her soon and will hopefully post some progress photos!

Although swelling in the days and weeks ahead will temporarily mask the changes, the on table result gives a great preview of the final outcome. Excited to see how her long term healing progresses! 👃🏼💫

In this video, we revisit the journey of a gentleman who came to us with breathing difficulties, as well as concerns about the shape of his nose.

His pre operative photographs showed a pronounced dorsal hump. Post-surgery, the hump was significantly reduced, with a gentle lift to the nasal tip, creating a more balanced profile.

He is now delighted with the outcome. Breathing has become easier, confidence has been restored, and his profile looks refined and natural.
