Taking another look at this rhinoplasty before and post-op. 👃🏻

This case focused on refining the overall profile while maintaining a natural look. The dorsal hump was softened and the nasal tip was more clearly defined, helping to create better balance with the rest of the facial features. What should patients understand about revision rhinoplasty? 👃🏻

Mr Unadkat discusses an important aspect of rhinoplasty that is not always widely spoken about. Even with the highest standard of surgery, there is a recognised revision rate, with around 15–20% of patients requiring some form of further treatment.

If you have had surgery elsewhere and are considering your next steps, it is often worth speaking with your original surgeon first. They understand the work carried out and may be best placed to guide you initially.

If further input is needed, a second opinion can be helpful. It is important to allow time for healing, typically around 12 months, before considering any additional procedure.

A recent rhinoplasty case addressing both function and form. 👃🏻

Mr Unadkat shares a case involving a patient who presented with breathing difficulties alongside aesthetic concerns. She was unhappy with a dorsal hump and felt her nasal tip lacked definition.

Through careful consideration, an external open septorhinoplasty was performed to improve breathing while refining the profile and tip.

Refinement without compromising identity. 3 months post surgery.

Really pleased to share this young man’s tremendous results following surgery to correct both a dorsal hump and a deviated septum affecting both aesthetics and function. Through a carefully planned rhinoplasty, I was able to smooth the dorsal profile while correcting the septal deviation to improve airflow.

A key priority in this case was preserving a strong, masculine nasal profile, ensuring the result looks natural and in harmony with the his facial features.

Using Piezo ultrasonic technology (piezotome), I performed precise bone reshaping with minimal trauma to surrounding tissues, allowing for greater accuracy and a faster recovery.
