🔥🔥New Pose of the Week for you to try today 🔥🔥

Diana tells us why she chose this pose and challenges you to focus on feeling instead of how it looks!

“This posture humbles me every time.

For years, I could move into shapes like this without really using my body. As someone who’s hypermobile, depth came easily—but true engagement didn’t. I was chasing the shape, not the feeling.

It’s taken time (and a lot of unlearning) to rebuild strength, awareness, and a relationship with my nervous system. Now, this pose is less about how deep I can go—and more about how present I can be within it.

I could go lower. I could bind. I could open the chest more. But choosing not to—that’s where the real practice is for me.

This shape might look advanced or even inaccessible, but the benefits aren’t in copying it. They’re in the process:
– Can you stay engaged as you lower down, even a little?
– Can you support your knees, your hips, your lower back?
– Can you let go of the “all or nothing” mindset?

Think less about the final shape, and more about what you feel along the way.”

A little care goes a long way; especially when it comes to your wrists.

If you spend 8 hours a day at your computer, try these 3 simple exercises recommended by to help prevent wrist pain and build strength.

Save this for later 🤜🤛

March Rockstar… Maurice 👏🔥

Maurice joined us after recovering from serious health challenges, having never done yoga or Pilates before.
Fast forward to now… 21 classes in one month 😮‍🔥

More than that, he’s become a big part of our community — showing up, putting in the work, and bringing the best energy every time 🧡

So well deserved. We’re proud of you 🙌

So now the question is.... who will be next? Answer in the comments 👀

Today joined us in the studio and shared why yoga and pilates are the perfect complement to his professional football training.

Listen to what he had to say after his first class at Yogarocks!

says:

My favourite pose is downward dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana).

You’ll often hear me say it’s not rest but a reset.

A rare asana where both hands and feet are grounded equally, at the same time as giving lightness and lift through the tailbone.

Physically it provides a nice stretch for Achilles and posterior leg. As well as increasing shoulder stability.

I like to cue breathing in and visualising length through the spine.

Also, not forgetting that this Asana is technically an inversion (heart higher than head).

And if you do need a rest, child pose (Balasana) is encouraged as an alternative.

Mini break energy.
Zero passport required.

If January/February/March has already got you in a mild headlock, this is your sign to pause.

Two hours of:
– Deep Yin
– Proper breathing
– Live sound bath
– No one asking you for anything

With the one and only .xyz

It’s not sweaty.
It’s not performative.
It’s not “advanced”.

It’s restorative, grounding, nervous-system-soothing goodness.

We only have a handful of spots left, so don’t sit on it (unless it’s in a Yin pose).

Book at the link in bio 💛

Meet our February Winner 🏆

We’re officially rewarding consistency at Yoga Rocks — and our first champion did not come to play.

Enter the glamorous, unstoppable Maria Marcato. At 72 years young, she clocked an outrageous 37 classes in February. Yes, 37. Absolute Rock Star energy. 💥

She’s proof that a consistent practice keeps you Rock Solid — strong, energised, and showing up no matter what. Naturally, she chose a water bottle as bold and colourful as she is.

Now… we saw your faces after the newsletter. The shock. The maths.

Good news: Maria has graciously entered the Yoga Rocks Hall of Fame. She’ll still be smashing classes, but she’s stepping off the leaderboard — which means…

👑 The March throne is officially vacant.
📊 We’re tracking attendance.
⭐ The most consistent Rock Star wins.

Whether it’s 14 classes or 24 — it’s game on.

Who’s taking March? 👀

About The Yoga Rocks Studio, London

At Yoga Rocks, our vision is to create and foster a welcoming, safe environment of wellbeing, community and personal growth. We are firm believers in the universality of yoga, in the acceptance of others, and ourselves - and the many positive changes that can result through the practice, in both body and mind.

Yoga is not about doing the splits or standing on your head! At its core is the practice of training and focusing the mind, and being present in the moment. Through the practice of Yoga with its focus on breath and movement - we can learn to pay attention to the 'now' rather than allowing our minds to dwell on the past or future. Life's beauty lies here in the present, and its something worth working towards - even if it is sometimes challenging!

With roots founded in ancient yogic wisdom – you can show up to any of our classes for a fantastic hot yoga practice. We also offer a multitude of differently themed classes that reflect and cater for the different styles, abilities and needs of our practitioners. Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or just taking the first steps of your yoga journey, we welcome all to Yoga Rocks!
