Art in Mind 🎨

This logo reflects something very close to my heart: the connection between creativity and wellbeing.

The soft, flowing lines form the shape of a mind, reminding us that our thoughts, feelings, and experiences are always moving and changing. The colours represent the many emotions we carry, and how art can help us explore them with curiosity and kindness.

The paintbrush growing from the mind symbolises how creativity can become a gentle way to express what we sometimes can’t put into words.

Art in Mind workshops are simply an invitation to slow down, create, and take a moment to care for your wellbeing through art. No pressure, no expectations, just space to explore, reflect, and enjoy the process.

Because sometimes a small moment of creativity can make a big difference. 🌿

Why do women get only one day?

A single day to celebrate half of humanity feels… a little small, doesn’t it?

Today is beautiful. Today is important. Today reminds us of the strength, resilience, kindness and brilliance that women bring into the world.

But the truth is: women deserve to be celebrated far beyond a date on the calendar.

Every woman as well as every being, deserves respect, appreciation and love every single day of the year.

A day cannot hold the courage of mothers, the determination of dreamers, the leadership of pioneers, or the quiet strength of those who keep going even when no one is watching.

International Women’s Day is a reminder not a limit.

So yes, today we celebrate women.
But tomorrow, and every day after, we continue to respect, uplift and stand beside one another.

Because every brilliant mind and every kind heart on this planet deserves to be seen, valued and loved , all year long. 💛

Yesterday’s workshop at on Fulham Road was a meaningful moment for me and organising it in my favourite local coffee shop was truly an honour.

Creating and holding a safe, intentional space is at the core of my practice. I am deeply committed to offering environments where participants feel grounded, supported, and free from judgement. We began by gently anchoring ourselves in the present moment, allowing space to slow down and arrive fully.

From there, I guided the group through a non-judgemental creative process, using the arts as a vehicle for expression. There was no expectation of outcome only an invitation to explore. When we create in this way, emotions are able to emerge naturally and safely, in their own time.

It is always a privilege to witness what unfolds when people are given permission to express themselves authentically.

My intention is to continue bringing these workshops into wider community spaces, including schools and healthcare settings, where safe, creative environments can offer meaningful support for wellbeing.

Thank you to everyone who participated and trusted the process.

🌿 Slow down. Breathe. Create 🎨

This Art for Wellbeing workshop is an invitation to step out of your busy mind and into a gentle, creative space, where there’s no right or wrong, no pressure, and no need to be “good at art.”

We’ll begin by grounding ourselves in the cozy atmosphere of the coffee shop, tuning into our senses and inner world.
From there, you’ll create intuitively, using your non-dominant hand and, if you feel comfortable, with eyes closed, allowing expression without control or judgment.

We’ll close with reflection and sharing, noticing how one hour of mindful art can soften the body, calm the nervous system, and reconnect us to ourselves 💛

You don’t need movement or performance to create impact.

A still moment can be enough, especially for adults who feel constantly “on”.

I’m inviting you to a quiet moment, a simple movement, or a calm table is enough to remind the body it’s safe to pause 🌿

**🌿 Layers of Self 🌿**

Our human identity is beautifully complex and multilayered—encompassing conscious, unconscious, collective, and shadow aspects. Through understanding ego states, roles, and internal scripts, we can deepen self-awareness and foster authentic connections.

Engaging with sensations within a contained space invites holistic growth, embracing both mind and body. Recognising disowned parts, as Jung suggested, helps us integrate and evolve. As Carl Rogers emphasized, deep empathy and unconditional positive regard build stronger therapeutic bonds—whether in one-on-one sessions or group settings.

Using art and Gestalt approaches nurtures present-moment awareness, inspiring authentic expression and discovery. As Rollo May reminds us, creative courage is essential to communicate our true selves and build new visions. ✨

✨ From the depths of our souls’ shadows, we carve out beauty. Darkness is not the end, but the starting point of transformation—where raw emotion and truth reside. When we create from pain, fear, or uncertainty, we turn darkness into light, giving voice to what lies beneath. Embrace your shadows—they are the birthplaces of authentic art and unspoken stories. 🎨🖤

Every year on October 10th, we observe World Mental Health Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about mental health issues and promoting conversations that challenge the stigma associated with mental illness. This year’s theme emphasizes the irreplaceable value of mental well-being in our lives and the importance of fostering an environment where everyone feels safe to talk about their mental health.

In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to forget to take time for ourselves. Self-care is essential for maintaining mental and emotional health, especially during stressful periods. Supporting the mental health of those around us is equally important.

On this World Mental Health Day, let us commit to not only taking care of our mental well-being but also supporting and uplifting those around us. By prioritizing mental health, we contribute to building a world where everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered to seek help when they need it. Remember, mental health is a journey, and each of us plays a crucial role in fostering a culture of understanding, compassion, and kindness. Let’s be advocates for mental health awareness, not just today, but every day.
