Did you know that proper hygiene of eyelash extensions helps the effect last longer? 🤔
Here are a few words on how we should take care of them ☝🏻
If we’ve recently had eyelash extensions done, remember that for the first 24 hours after the procedure, they shouldn’t come into contact with water 💦 they shouldn’t be washed or exposed to water v***r or air moisture, e.g., in the sauna or pool. The adhesive used during the procedure needs about a day to dry properly - if the lashes get wet before that, it can weaken the glue and shorten their durability.
After waiting 24 hours, the glue bonding is strong enough, and the lashes can be safely washed ☺️ it should be done daily☝🏼 to avoid the accumulation of bacteria and microorganisms, which can cause inflammation 🦠
To properly care for extended lashes, we should have:
✅ makeup remover
✅ shampoo for extended lashes
✅ brush
✅ cleaning brush
✅ cotton pads
✅ paper towel
Using a cotton pad soaked in remover, we remove makeup with gentle, sweeping movements. Once the face is cleansed 🫧 this way, we reach for lash shampoo. We apply a small amount of the product to the lashes, spreading it carefully with our fingers from the base to the tips. We must be particularly careful at the base of the lashes - this is where the adhesive bonding is, connecting the artificial hairs with the natural ones. Then we massage the shampoo into the lashes using the brush - let’s choose one with soft bristles that will remove makeup residues without risking damage to the delicate lash structure. After cleaning, rinse off the shampoo, spreading warm water with our fingers on the lashes. Then we dry the lashes, gently pressing a paper towel against them. Finally, just comb them with a brush to maintain density and a fluffy appearance.
Remember to use only specialized lash shampoos ‼️ Proper lash hygiene requires a product free from oils and with the appropriate pH. 🧪
