🌿🌿🌿 Welcoming new ONLINE clients 🌿🌿🌿

Hello 👋

I am currently welcoming new online clients for psychotherapy and counselling.

Online therapy can sometimes make it easier to take that first step. No travel. Just a quiet space where you can focus on you.

For many people, therapy from home feels more comfortable. Sitting in your own space can make opening up feel less challenging and more manageable.

Some benefits of online therapy:

✔️ More flexibility to fit sessions into your day
✔️ Access to therapy wherever you are
✔️ Comfort of being in your own familiar space
✔️ Less time spent travelling
✔️ The same level of care, support, and confidentiality as in-person sessions.

Whether it’s anxiety, stress, low mood, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can help you understand what’s going on beneath the surface and what you need to move forward.

The path forward begins when you feel ready to take it.

If you’ve been thinking about starting therapy, or have questions about how online sessions work, please use the link below to reach out:

Support is here when you’re ready.

People pleasing can look like kindness,
but often, it can be fear wearing a smile.

It’s not about being “too much” or “too sensitive.”
It’s about old strategies that once kept us safe.

Unlearning it isn’t about becoming cold or distant.
It’s about learning that our needs matter too.

And we’re allowed to say no, even if someone’s disappointed.

We are still a good people 🧡

Sometimes that starts in spaces where we can be honest, without judgement, without performance.

Therapy allows us the space to find out who we are beneath the pleasing.

Ever feel like your perceived 'strange' makes you feel like you don't quite fit in?

A bit too intense, emotional, quiet, weird, rebellious, quirky etc. etc.

Most of us feel a little strange at times, wondering if anyone else gets it.

But I reckon your 'strange, weird, different' might be your superpower.

It's what makes you you. And the chances are, someone out there feels exactly like you do.

And may you find more of those people to be around, where you can be more 'you'.

Happy Friday, wonderful human 🧡

🌷Living with high-functioning anxiety can make us feel like we have to hold it all together.

Calm on the outside.
Tense, overwhelmed, or running on empty on the inside.

And often, we don’t even realise why it feels so hard to let go, to slow down, or to ask for support.

For some of us, even asking for help feels unfamiliar, or maybe it was met with rejection or unsafely in the past.
Maybe we’ve spent so long coping alone that letting someone in doesn’t come easily.

But that pressure didn’t come out of nowhere.

Maybe we learned early on that being the one who copes made things feel safer.
That being helpful, capable, or “fine” earned us approval or kept the peace.
Perhaps we didn’t grow up with space for our emotions, so we learned to carry it all quietly.

Somewhere along the way, we might have picked up beliefs like:

✧ We’re not allowed to fall apart.
✧ Holding it all together is the only option.
✧ We always have to be the strong one.
✧ Managing things alone is what makes us “okay” or acceptable.

These patterns make sense. They were responses to what we needed at the time.

It’s not about blame. It’s about meeting ourselves now with understanding and curiousity.

We’re allowed to put it down sometimes.
We don’t have to hold it all, all of the time.

Save this if you need the reminder. Or pass it on to someone who might be carrying more than they let on. 🤎

Therapy Truths I Wish More People Knew 🧠

There’s so much misunderstanding around what therapy really is—how it feels, how it works, and who it’s for.

So here are a few truths from inside the room:

💬 You don’t need to be in crisis to begin.
💬 You don’t need to have the “right” words.
💬 Crying, silence, anger, laughter, swearing—it’s all welcome.
💬 Therapy is a relationship, not a quick fix.
💬 You don’t have to share everything right away.
💬 Feeling unsure at first is completely normal.
💬 And yes—therapy can be hard. But it can also be incredibly freeing. Naming what’s true, unlearning old patterns, connecting with yourself in a real way… it’s vulnerable work, and it’s brave work.

If you’ve been sitting with the idea of therapy for a while, consider this your gentle nudge: you don’t have to be “ready”—you just have to be willing.

✨️Welcoming new online therapy & counselling clients

If you're moving through a challenging time, perhaps feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or carrying something that’s hard to shake, it makes sense that things might feel heavy right now 🧡

You might be longing for a space where you can exhale, speak freely, and not have to hold it all together.

That’s where therapy can help.

I offer one-to-one online sessions to clients in the UK, Ireland and beyond and work integratively, meaning the process is shaped around you and what works best to suit your needs. My approach is warm, trauma-informed, and rooted in presence, creating space for what feels challenging to be met with care and curiosity.

You don't have to carry it all by yourself. 🧡

🌿 Black-and-White Thinking vs. Emotional Complexity

Black-and-white thinking tells us:

“It has to be one or the other.”
“If it hurt, it wasn’t love.”
“If I’m upset, I must be ungrateful.”
“If they meant well, it shouldn’t have affected me.”

But real life, real emotion, is more nuanced than that.

In therapeutic work, we can learn to hold contradictions:

I love them. And they hurt me.

I’m grateful. And I’m grieving.

I needed more. And they did their best.

I want closeness. And I need space.

Black-and-white thinking often comes from a place of protection.
It feels safer to choose one truth and cling to it because sitting with two can feel vulnerable, even disorienting.

But emotional growth happens in the both/and.

That’s where truth lives. 🧡
