Aldabra Giant Tortoises are the second largest land tortoise species, with around 200 individuals, including one that is 200 years old, making it one of the oldest land animals on Earth. Many are over 100 years old. Adult tortoises typically weigh between 150 and 250 kilograms (330 to 551 pounds). HH Shri Guruji had a wonderful experience with these tortoises in Africa. Chaturmas, meaning "four months," is a sacred time in the Hindu calendar for spiritual practices, devotion, and penance. year, it begins on 6/7/25 with Devshayani Ekadashi, marking the convergence of Lord and Lord . On this day, Lord Vishnu entrusts the universe to Lord Shiva before entering a deep sleep called yoga nidra. Chaturmas concludes with Lord Vishnu's awakening on Dev , 1/11/25. His sleep symbolizes cosmic rest and renewal, representing divine cycles. The period highlights powerful principles, including those noted in Ayurveda, marking the onset of Visaragkaal, the other half of the year.

Aadan kaal signifies the sunniest time when nature energizes us, while Visaragkaal is for recharging. This divine rest period results in lower immunity and increased disease spread. Rishis and sadhus, like Mata Parvati, travel but also engage in meditation and penance during these four months.
