🫘 Magnesium rich foods help support sleep. Children can be offered seeds, beans and protein.
🥣 Iron such as meat, green leafy veg and cereal also support sleep and these foods can be offered to children.
🥛 Water should be given throughout the day. Milk can also be offered. Fruit juice should be limited due to sugar and fizzy drinks and caffeine should be avoided.
Note: This is a guideline for children that are fully weaned and not babies. Always be aware of allergies and intolerances before offering foods as well as family’s dietary/cultural preferences such as plant based diets etc.
