Support for new parents with breastfeeding

How can your partner help you breastfeed? (This goes for whoever is with you at home in those early weeks)

👉🏻 Learn as much about breastfeeding as possible Be chief nappy changer
👉🏻 Bathe baby
👉🏻 Cuddle baby after feeds
👉🏻 Wear baby in a carrier (babies who are held more cry less)
👉🏻 Provide easy food for you
👉🏻 Bringing you a drink
(Cook, clean, do laundry, write thank you notes, arrange appointments, correspond with folks who want to come visit, etc)

All those cuddles will promote a lovely bond between baby and that key person in your life. My favourite resource for partners/grandparents is the FREE online course Team Baby from the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers
