πŸ₯΅ Do you feel a bit sluggish when the temperature rises?
Even when it's scorching, your body still needs fuel to keep going.

That's where our nutrient-packed smoothies come in!
- Tropical Tang
- Berry Blast
- Green Boost

They're gentler on your digestive system, meaning your body can focus its energy on staying cool, rather than breaking down a large meal.
This isn't a long-term eating strategy, but it could help you cover a meal when you'd otherwise give it a miss.

πŸ’¦ Ready to nourish yourself during the next heatwave?
Comment "yes" below, and we'll send our smoothie recipes directly to your DMs! πŸ‘‡

🀩 We've intentionally used similar ingredients, in different combinations, to help you use up what you buy.
Ingredients can be swapped to your favourites too.

Our other recipes (not smoothies!) coming out next week will include some of these ingredients too.
No more bags of greenery going limp in the back of the fridge. Yay! πŸ₯³

πŸ₯΅ Do heatwaves zap your mojo?
When your body is working overtime to stay cool, all that extra effort, combined with the loss of fluids and electrolytes through sweat, can leave you feeling utterly drained.

Create your strategy now for the next round of high temperatures -

πŸ’¦ Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate!
- Sip water constantly. Don't wait for thirst.
- Replenish electrolytes with coconut water or whole-fruit juices, especially if you're sweating buckets.
- Eat your fluids – think watermelon, cucumber, and leafy greens!

πŸ₯— Eat Light & Cool:
- Opt for smaller, more frequent meals that include fresh fruits, veggies, and salads.
- Avoid heavy, hot meals that make your body work harder.
- Use frozen fruits and vegetables to make healthy smoothies - a refreshing and easy option to add nutrients in a way that is easier to digest.

πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈSlow Your Roll:
- Limit strenuous activity during the hottest parts of the day.
- Try early morning walks or gentle stretching instead.
- Listen to your body; rest if you feel dizzy or wiped.

By helping your body stay cool and replenished, you can keep your energy from doing a disappearing act in the heat.

πŸ“Έ 🐢🐢 We recently entered a photo competition to become a local hospice's cover photo for their annual fundraising dog walk.

What started as a light-hearted push for likes quickly became something quite special.

Seeing friends and strangers alike rally behind us, hitting that like button for our dogs, highlighted the true significance of having:
🌟 purpose and meaning – working towards something – and
πŸ™Œ connection – people uniting for a good cause

The quiet satisfaction that comes from collective effort is a powerful thing. It's genuinely uplifting and a real boost to one's wellbeing. 🫢

🀞 The competition closes tonight, so let's see what happens. 🀞

Either way, we've had some fun, and I also found an opportunity to chat with people who like dogs and know the hospice, who then shared their stories and experiences.

What's something unexpected that's boosted your spirits lately? πŸ‘‡

πŸ“° Weight loss jabs are in the news again this week, together with strict eligibility criteria required to receive them from an NHS GP in the UK.

The NHS campaign highlights health risks associated with carrying some extra weight (aka metabolic syndrome) - because some of those form the eligibility criteria.

What is not called out is the importance of getting into healthy habits now, to maintain any positive outcomes and continuing to progress afterwards, or to avoid hitting that eligibility criteria to begin with.

If you are "not yet eligible" and want to get ahead with improving your wellbeing, consider engaging with a Nutrition and Wellness Coach.
