In response, Hadassah UK is supporting the Hadassah Medical Organisation to ensure a permanent expansion of the hospital’s emergency infrastructure, to be prepared for any trauma-related eventuality in Jerusalem and across Israel.

At Hadassah, many of our doctors, nurses, and staff are children and grandchildren of Holocaust survivors. Their families chose a path not of revenge, but of healing—transforming unimaginable loss into purpose.

One generation ago, physicians who fled Europe's finest institutions arrived in Jerusalem, rebuilding their lives and careers. Through Hadassah, they helped lay the foundations of Israel's modern medical system.

New Life, Protected: A Birth Story from Hadassah's Fortified Delivery Rooms

Shmulik and Esti Eisenberg from Lod investigated every fortified delivery room in Israel before making their choice: Hadassah Ein Kerem.

"The full fortification of all Hadassah delivery rooms under safe conditions was our main consideration these days," Esti explains. "Despite the travel from Lod, we decided to give birth here..."

"The entire staff was amazing, from Tami in reception to Tal in the delivery room, who accompanied the entire birth with kindness, and serenity. Everything was calm and peaceful, and we have already recommended Hadassah to our friends."

The Algemeiner has named Dr. Esi Sharon-Sagie, director of the Oral Rehabilitation graduate programme at Hebrew University-Hadassah School of Dental Medicine, to its prestigious 2025 J100 list—recognizing the top 100 people positively influencing Jewish life.

Dr. Sharon-Sagie is a longtime volunteer forensic odontologist with the Israel Police. She led efforts to identify victims of the October 7 massacre when only dental records could restore their names. Through meticulous scientific work, she gave families the certainty they desperately needed. In 2024, her expertise played a critical role in confirming the death of Yahya Sinwar.

The Algemeiner describes her contribution this way: "Through precision, discipline, and compassion, Sharon-Sagie transformed science into dignity, giving families certainty and helping close one of the war's most consequential chapters."
