“If up to 90% of chronic disease is linked to what we eat and drink, then nutrition isn’t a trend — it’s prevention.”
A few years ago, I was 10–15kg overweight, insulin resistant, borderline Type 2 diabetic, constantly tired, with high blood pressure, sleep apnoea, and aching joints. My body was warning me — I wasn’t listening.
Everything changed when I removed sugars and refined carbs and focused on whole foods: lean proteins, good fats, and simple nutrition.
Vitamin D also became non-negotiable. Low vitamin D is linked to insulin resistance, inflammation, low energy, poor immunity, and heart disease — especially important for women’s bone, hormone, and metabolic health.
The result?
Normal blood pressure, better sleep, more energy, pain-free joints, sharper focus — I stopped surviving and started living.
This matters deeply to me. My best friend died from a heart attack and shared many of the same risk factors I once had. I wish he’d had the chance to change too.
