It’s raining but Mr Squirrel 🐿️ is enjoying his breakfast. I’m weathering the plants I brought over from the UK, including tomatoes and chili plants grown from seed. My bulb lasagne pots worked nicely and rest of the garden is waking up nicely 😊🌱

Hello new tax year 😊 I’ve just signed up to Level 2 Fundamentals of Chronic Pain Recovery programme, having completed Level 1 last yr. This programme allows practitioners to educate and advise clients on chronic pain recovery, as well as many other neuroplastic symptoms. Chronic Pain is something I see a lot of in clinic, I already work with it in a neuroplastic way (a heavy focus on the nervous system) with the aim of helping people ‘break the cycle’ that maintains dysfunction; this is adding more dimensions to enhance recovery potential by:

* Enhanced Client Outcomes * - See your clients regain their lives rather than being stuck in cycles of pain management.

* Impact of Stress and Trauma * - Learn how stress and past trauma affect the body’s physiology and how these effects can be reversed.

* The Brain’s Role in Chronic Conditions * - Understanding the pain neuroscience explaining the brain’s involvement in chronic conditions, including concepts like neuroplasticity and predictive coding.

SIRPA also run an Online Recovery Programme specifically for people in Chronic Pain to help them break the cycle and move forwards with a better understanding of why their nervous system keeps signalling pain responses when the original injury or issue has long healed: * https://www.sirpa.org/im-in-pain/online-recovery-programme/ * which has been of great support to people I have steered towards it for self-help and guidance for chronic pain management.

Excellent bike ride along the canal today 🥰 Testing out the front suspension on my new bike, and very happy with it. It was a lot more bumpy than it looks, my DJI Osmo Nano camera image stabilisation smooths it all out!

The tomatoes went crazy in the AUK and it was time to remove them, look at their roots! I have transplanted them into pots and give them a good water. They will soon be strong and not too long before I can plant them out. The chilli plants are still growing in the AUK, I’ve now added some basil and parsley seeds to keep them company 🍀

Visited beautiful Marburg in Germany today, a very lovely university town with a big castle on the hill!

Today we serviced our woodburner - we replaced the fire deflectors on the roof of the stove, and removed the chimney and cleaned it. The fire is now burning better than ever before, very happy with our work! I filmed the process and am making a video of it 😊

Not the best drive over to - ferry was delayed by an hour due to non-existent high winds 🤷‍♂️ But we had the best window seat on the ferry 😊 Then there was torrential rain and Friday traffic so we didnt arrive until 9pm, slept well after a well-deserved glass of wine 🥂Raining, grey and cold today but - look at all those daffodils! Makes it all worthwhile 😁 They are going to look stunning when we have a few sunny days later in the week 🙏

Navigated the high water on Richmond riverfront to get to ready for my Monday session 💪 Such a glorious day, this morning I sat in the sun in the garden, at home, and squeezed in 30mins watching the ebbs and flow of the riverfront in Richmond, before heading in to work - feeling incredibly lucky to be working from this beautiful space in this beautiful area!
