Here are three common myths:
🚫 Myth 1: Men on TRT are at higher risk of developing prostate cancer later in life
🚫 Myth 2: TRT makes prostate cancer harder to detect
🚫 Myth 3: PSA should stay completely unchanged on TRT

🎉 Happy International Women’s Day.

This year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” reminds us that support and encouragement can make a meaningful difference — including when it comes to health.

Many men delay speaking about their health. Often, it is someone close to them who encourages that first step — a partner noticing changes, a mother reminding her son to get checked, or a colleague starting an important conversation.

These moments of encouragement can lead to positive change.

At Harley Street TRT, we recognise the important role that awareness, support, and open conversations play in helping men prioritise their health and wellbeing.

Today, we also take a moment to recognise and thank women everywhere for their leadership, dedication, and contributions across families, communities, and healthcare.

We also acknowledge the women who continue to support the men in their lives and encourage conversations around health.

Because sometimes, giving support is the first step towards gaining better health.

Is a face-to-face consultation essential for safe and effective TRT prescribing?

As digital healthcare expands, this question matters more than ever.

In this short video, Dr Samantha A. Strumeier, DNP, MBA, MS, RN, FNP-BC, OCN, NMP shares her clinical perspective on consultation standards, safety, and responsible hormone prescribing.

Dr Strumeier recently joined Harley Street TRT as Medical Adviser. With a Doctorate from Johns Hopkins University and senior roles across leading U.S. and U.K. centres — including Memorial Sloan Kettering and Barts Cancer Centre — she brings deep expertise in men’s health, urology, and oncology, with a particular focus on testosterone care in complex clinical settings.

At Harley Street TRT, clinical governance, structured assessment, and patient safety remain central to how we practise.

You may have heard the term “HCG microdosing.”

HCG dosing is being discussed more frequently — particularly in light of ongoing UK supply pressures. In some cases, this has led to a shift towards lower-dose protocols.

Recently, we have received an increasing number of enquiries about microdosing.

In simple terms, this refers to prescribing smaller amounts of HCG more frequently. Where clinically appropriate, reduced dosing regimens may be considered.

While protocols may evolve, prescribing should remain driven by patient-specific clinical need, with availability considerations managed through clinical judgement.

Across our network, treatment planning includes safeguarding continuity of care for patients prescribed HCG, where clinically appropriate.

Dosing decisions must always reflect the individual’s biochemical profile, fertility considerations, overall health, and treatment goals. If prescribed below what a patient clinically requires, a regimen may not provide the intended clinical support.

If you have questions about your current protocol, speak to one of our clinicians.
