It seems like there’s a lot of homework in DBT, do I have to do all of it? 💬

The "homework" in DBT is not about written assignments; it's largely experiential. It involves actively practicing the skills in your daily life to make them second nature.

Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD) also known as Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), is a complex mental health condition characterised by intense emotional instability and challenges in managing relationships and self-image.

Individuals living with a personality disorder may think, feel, behave, or relate to others in ways that differ significantly from the average person. They might experience a more limited range of emotions, attitudes, and behaviours to cope with everyday life. Personality disorders remain among the most misunderstood and stigmatised diagnoses in mental health.

To support better understanding, we’ve identified several signs and symptoms that may indicate someone is struggling with a personality disorder.

At Nightingale Hospital, we offer specialist treatment for personality disorders, including EUPD. Click on the link below to learn more.

What if I don’t like group environments? 💬

Feeling hesitant about group therapy is completely normal. Groups in the DBT Programme feel more like a skills training workshop where the primary goal is to learn and practise new coping strategies in a supportive learning environment, without any pressure to share past experiences.
