I’ve been trying to slow down lately…
Sounds peaceful, right?
I’ve been trying to take things at a gentler pace, breathe a bit deeper, and actually let myself rest… but wow, it’s harder than it sounds!
My version looks a bit more like waking up determined to be calm… then immediately grabbing my phone, checking 12 emails and forgetting to take half my supplements! 🤦🏽♀️
This week’s been a nice week but also very heavy.
Moments of calm followed by waves of emotion, grief, and that familiar voice in my head saying “you should be doing more.”
and me reminding myself (on repeat) that it’s okay to take it slow.
Still figuring out how to rest without guilt, but that’s progress too 🤍
It’s all a work in progress!
Learning that slowing down doesn’t mean stopping, and that it’s okay to have days where the ‘lightness’ takes a bit more effort to find.
But we move slowly, intentionally and with magnesium tablets half-forgotten on the counter!!!! 😂
But I will get there I will find that balance I need it just takes time!
