Resilience tools can help us navigate through difficult life events and build inner strength.
But what does resilience really mean and how can we find the tools that work for us?
Resilience for me has always meant finding our personal power; sitting in alignment with our higher selves and living authentically from our truth, but it hasn’t always been an easy skill to navigate.
When I first started using resilience tools I struggled to fully access them.
There was huge resistance because many of them required me to stand alone and feel my pain.
I felt powerless in my inability to control the pain and it terrified me.
Taking that first step towards healing meant that I needed to ride out the storm, sit with the fear and allow the difficult emotions to arise. This all had to be done with trust that I was safe enough to handle them. On my own!
Now when difficult emotions arise, I sit with the pain, breathe through the energy and bring compassion to what’s there until the energy is alchemised back into love.
Living in a state of resilience also means not giving your power away to another. That means listening to our intuition and ascertaining which tools work for us.
So here are 3 steps that I use to build resilience. If they resonate, great! Use them. If not- adapt them to suit you needs or google alternative tools for building resilience and start your own journey.
My 5- Steps for Healing Painful Emotions
Step 1- Allow emotions to arise
Step 2- Breathe into them
Step 3- Sit with them and notice the movement of energy
Step 4- Bring love and acceptance to all that is there.
Step 5-Tapping in meridian points to move energy
In a time where everything is challenging us to heal and feel our pain, these tools can help us survive.
When we build a solid foundation of resilience we get back our personal power and can finally start living from a place of truth.
This is where we find lasting happiness. 😍
