14 years ago there was Tohoku earthquake & tsunami happened this month.

I was watching the news on TV from London, the aftermaths of an unprecedented scale of natural disasters. It was unbearable & heartbreaking to watch the footages, there were multiple elements which were too close to home.

These unbearable feelings that I needed to express then, in order to seek a solace. My first gesture which made me want to become an art therapist.

I would love to collaborate one day with those who have been affected by the Tohoku earthquake & tsunami disasters.

14年前の今月、東日本大震災が発生。

ロンドンから、前例にない大規模の自然災害に遭われた東北地方をニュースで追っていく中、身近に感じられる要素も入り混じり、耐えがたく胸が張り裂ける様な気持ちになっていた。

そんな耐え難さをどうにか表現し和らげたい気持ちで描いた絵。初めてアートセラピストを志した所作だった。

いつの日か、被災された皆様と一緒に活動させて頂ける機会がありましたら幸いです。

Les Trois Grâces - made last year.

The first painting of Les Trois Grâce that I saw was at Château de Chantilly several years ago. It was painted by Raphael. The composition of three daughters of Zeus, Aglaia, Euphrosyne, and Thalia from Greek mythology, I found it intriguing.

And then I realised the motif as popular enough that I saw in many places such as Louvre, and even at Niigata Train Station in Japan!

It represents the beauty and charm found in nature, society, and also people with harmony & reciprocity.

去年描いた三美神。

三美神を初めて見たのは数年前、フランスのシャンティイ城を訪れた時。ラファエロ作で、ギリシャ神話のゼウスの娘アグライアー、エウプロシュネー、タレイアの構図が絶妙。

そして色々な場所で見つけられるモチーフだと気づく。ルーブルなどの美術館や新潟駅でも！

このモチーフは自然や社会に存在する美や魅力、人々の間に生まれる調和や相互関係を象徴とするそう。
