Statement Analysis is a fascinating branch of applied linguistics and psychological profiling used widely in the US to assist employers with recruitment and law enforcement and other investigators to identify when interviewees are being honest or deceptive. It's still relatively uncommon in the UK but myself and some colleagues are working to change that!
