Four days off over Easter. A chance to rest, but also a chance to reflect.

In this job, it’s easy to fall into routine. And that’s usually where standards start to slip without you even realising.

We’ve used the time to reset a few things. Back to basics. First impressions. How we welcome families and how we look after them from the moment they walk through the door.

BREAKING: W. Uden & Sons make the front cover of Vogue

We’re delighted to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for Vogue’s Best Dressed Men Award 2026 - Uniformed Edition.

Up against stiff competition from the armed forces, emergency services, and a sharply turned-out group of Birmingham bus drivers, our team carried themselves with real style under pressure. The swimwear round raised a few eyebrows, but when it came to tailoring and traditional headgear, we really topped things off.

Managing Director Matthew Uden said:
“I thought it would be a waist of time, but clearly we’ve got this sewn up. Everything we do is carefully tailored, so it’s nice to see our attention to detail recognised.”

Rumour has it Anna Wintour is considering adding top hats to the Autumn/Winter collection… though we like to think we’ve been setting that standard for years.

Yesterday, we shared photos from a truly beautiful farewell - here’s a short video. A tribute to someone who dedicated part of their life to serving their country.
The service was held at the stunning Guards’ Chapel in Westminster, a setting truly fitting for the occasion.
It is always an honour to be trusted with such important moments, and to play a small part in marking a life and thanking this gentleman for his service.

Last week we had the true honour of conducting a funeral for a former King’s Guard.
Moments like this are an absolute privilege. Every goodbye is unique, but there is something especially profound about honouring someone who dedicated a part of their life in service to their country.
It’s not just a farewell - it’s a recognition of duty, sacrifice, and quiet pride. Standing alongside this gentleman's family and friends, we are reminded that behind the uniform was a life filled with love, stories and memories.
To be entrusted with that final tribute is something we never take for granted.🎖❤🎩
