One of the simplest ways to support your posture, your breath and your nervous system? Opening the front of your body.

When we spend a lot of time sitting, working, or scrolling, or biking the body naturally closes forward → chest tightens, shoulders round, breath becomes shallow.

And it’s not just about posture.
It also affects how you breathe… and how your body feels overall.

💡 That’s why I love gentle heart openers like this one.

Not to force a deep backbend,
but to create space through the chest, ribs and shoulders, so your body can actually relax into it.
Because real opening doesn’t come from pushing.
It comes from feeling safe enough to let go.

👉🏼 How to try it:

• Place one bolster (or pillow) lengthwise under your back
• Support your head on the bolster
→ adjust the height depending on what feels good for your neck

Arm options (choose what feels best):
• Arms down by your sides (most gentle)
• Arms in a T-shape
• Reach arms overhead or have the hands rest on the side ribs and feel connected
• Hold opposite elbows overhead
• Or interlace your fingers behind your head (like you’re relaxing in a hammock)

• Soften your belly and breathe deeply.

🌻Stay for a few slow breaths and let gravity do the work.

Why this is so effective:
✔️ Supports better posture (without forcing it)
✔️ Opens chest + shoulders
✔️ Encourages deeper, more relaxed breathing
✔️ Helps your body shift into a more “rest & digest” state

The other day I woke up feeling sad 😢 even crying sad so wanted to share this !

Don’t let one bad moment define your whole day.

Sometimes you have a low mood, low moment, or you are full of dread, but don’t forget to leave room for things to shift.

Sometimes we hold really tightly to our mood, we think about the things that upset us over and over again, continuing to rev up our minds and bodies.

Sometimes we need to shake it up, shake it out, get into a new environment, dance it out, sing it out, lean into joy just a little bit, and maybe you can change the momentum.

Remember, regulation and balance in life isn’t about perfection, it’s about listening sooner
I used to think calm balance and success came from adding more, more discipline, more habits, more productivity. What actually changed my nervous system was letting things go
Here are 7 habits I’ve released to create more steadiness, self-trust, and space

Let go of

🌻saying yes out of guilt

🌻negative self-talk

🌻screen time before bed

🌻putting myself last

🌻feeling obligated to respond immediately

🌻tying my own self-worth to productivity

🌻ignoring early signs of overwhelm, listening sooner

🌻The above have helped me feel more at home in my body and in my life.

Maybe that tip isn’t for you….

Nuance in the online space is dead.

Critical thinking skills are very necessary.

And getting appropriate help when needed is imperative . Instagram is not the same as 121 support. Tips are not the same thing as going to a yoga coach and getting active support from a trained professional.

I might say on here, “self-care is important” , I might say “you need to say no more”, I might say “you need to set firmer boundaries”, Those things might be true, but in your specific case, they might NOT be true. Don’t get caught up in the over generalizing and applying of tips without thinking through what will really help YOU. And don’t forget to get assistance so you can hit the bull’s-eye faster.

And sometimes self care is exactly what we need but sometimes we need to take action and get out of our way, sometimes we need activation, not relaxation, sometimes we need to break out of freeze mode. Nuance matters-don’t forget that when it comes to your own personal life.

How have you been getting on with adopting Meditation? I’d love to know!

Throughout this year, I have been encouraging people to start a simple, daily meditation habit. I’m pretty awestruck that many of you have started the daily meditation habit. Imagine how many minutes of stillness we can build if we all commit to 10 mins a day

The science tells us that regular meditation:
👉🏾 Strengthens overall wellbeing
👉🏾 Builds resilience and calm
👉🏾 Reduces stress and improves focus

I can tell you personally, it has helped me through some difficult times, it has helped me to stop drinking alcohol completely, it has helped me to pause before I react, it has helped me to improve my relationships with my family, and husband. It has also helped me be ok with stillness and silence and made me realize sometimes doing nothing is ok!

That’s exactly why I am passionate about myth-busting. You don’t need to pay for an expensive app. You don’t need to empty your mind. A simple, realistic way to build a daily habit that actually lasts 10 minutes every day is not complicated.
