What a day. What an achievement.

A huge, huge thank you to every single person who donated, shared, reposted, messaged and supported Felicity Ryall on her London Marathon journey for Cancer Research UK.

The race is done.

And wow… what an achievement.

Not just for Felicity, but for every single runner who crossed that finish line today. The determination, resilience and sheer mental strength needed to complete a marathon is hard to put into words.

They’ve all joined a very elite group of people.

We are beyond proud of Flick ❤️

The atmosphere, support and emotion throughout the day was incredible, and knowing this was all helping raise funds for such an important cause made it even more special.

Thank you again everyone. Your support genuinely meant the world.

Below is a short video montage from an unforgettable day ❤️

This weekend just became very real.

Firstly, a huge thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, reposted and supported Felicity Ryall on her London Marathon journey for Cancer Research UK.

So far, an incredible £1,188 has been raised. 🙏

Honestly… thank you. 🙏

What many people don’t see behind the social posts and fundraising pages is the relentless commitment it takes to prepare for a marathon. The training has been gruelling. Early mornings, exhaustion, injuries, pushing through mentally and physically when it would have been easier to stop.

But Felicity has kept going. 👏

The dedication, discipline and determination she has shown has been incredible to watch, and as a dad, I couldn’t be prouder.

Like so many families, cancer has touched ours over the years. Sadly, almost 1 in 2 people in the UK will receive a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime, and more than 400,000 people are now diagnosed every year in the UK.

👉 That’s why research matters.
👉 That’s why fundraising matters.
👉 That’s why events like this matter.

On Sunday morning, Sandie and the family (Bella Ryall, Cameron Ryall, Aidan Barrett) will be there cheering Felicity on alongside thousands of others taking part in something truly special.

In the comments is a little collage from collecting her race number at Excel and seeing her name up on the board ❤️

It’s not too late to support this incredible cause if you’re able to donate or share the page: link to donate in the comments

Good luck Flick - love you ❤️ .

A £27,200 fine following HSE action! But the real issue here isn’t the penalty.

It’s that this was entirely preventable.

Looking at the case, it highlights three mistakes we still see far too often in practice:

1. Treating risk assessments as paperwork

Assessments existed, but they didn’t properly identify hazards, health effects or practical controls.

If a risk assessment doesn’t reflect reality, it doesn’t protect anyone.

2. Failing to embed control measures

Guidance around managing metalworking fluids is clear, yet exposure risks, testing frequency and maintenance arrangements weren’t consistently applied.

Controls only work when they’re part of day-to-day operations.

3. Not acting on clear warnings

Improvement Notices were issued — and not followed.

This is where risk escalates quickly, both for employees and the organisation.

At Salusphere Global, much of our work focuses on closing this gap between policy and practice.

Because most issues aren’t caused by a lack of knowledge.

They’re caused by a lack of follow-through.

And that’s where organisations are most exposed.

Awareness is the spark.

👉 We’re taking action.

We’re opening a limited number of places on a live Su***de First Aid session, delivered by Ross Abbott.

📅 26 May | 09:30–13:30 | Online

I paid out £1,124 in referral fees today — and I’m genuinely pleased to do so.

Let me explain why.

That £1,124 didn’t go into a campaign hoping to generate interest. It went directly to people who trusted me enough to introduce me into their network.

And that changes the conversation completely.

There’s already context.
There’s already credibility.
There’s already trust.

In the kind of work we do, that matters.

These aren’t quick, transactional decisions. They sit with leadership, involve people, risk and culture, and require confidence from the outset.

So for me, referral fees aren’t a cost.

They’re an investment in relationships that are working.

Because every introduction represents:

• A conversation that starts in the right place
• Time not spent chasing the wrong opportunities
• And work that is far more likely to deliver value

There’s absolutely a place for PPC and paid activity.

But in my experience, trust builds momentum in a very different way.

And over time, that compounds.

So today, I’m grateful.

Grateful to the people in my network who are willing to make introductions, and to stand behind them.

That’s something worth investing in.

Do you actively build referral partnerships in your business, or rely more on inbound and paid activity?

And as we head into the weekend, hope everyone gets a chance to switch off and recharge.

Best regards,
Ayrtam

Awareness is the spark. Action is what saves lives.

Mental Health Awareness Week is important.
But real change happens when people know what to do in the moment that matters.

In 2025:

74% of UK adults said they would want to help someone in crisis
Only 40% felt they had the skills to do so

That gap matters.

To support this, we’re opening a limited number of places on a live, accredited:

👉 Su***de First Aid (SFA Lite) session

📅 26 May 2026
🕘 09:30 – 13:30
💻 Online

We’re really pleased that this session will be delivered by Ross Abbott, who brings a wealth of experience in workplace wellbeing and inclusion, along with a practical, real-world approach to supporting people when it matters most.

This session is free to attend.

We’re also encouraging optional donations to R;pple, a charity doing incredible work intercepting harmful online searches and supporting people at critical moments.

This isn’t just about awareness.

A recent audit review found only 57% of workplaces pass fire-safety checks first time.

The rest?
Usually small, fixable issues.

Blocked exits.
Lighting not working.
Fire doors wedged open.

There are still around 22,000 workplace fires each year in the UK.
Most preventable with simple checks.

When did you last review yours properly?

Follow Salusphere Global for practical guidance or message us if you’d like a straightforward sense-check.

The real cost of Health & Safety in a business.

X = The cost of doing it properly
Y = The cost of ignoring it

Most SME owners don’t avoid Health & Safety.
They’re just busy running a business.

But here’s the reality we see every week.

X: Cost of doing H&S
A bit of time
Some structure
Clear responsibilities
Training that sticks
Small, predictable investment

Y: Cost of ignoring it
Disruption when something goes wrong
Unexpected cost
Insurance complications
Stress for directors
Reputation damage
Public enforcement risk

And the UK data backs this up:

• £22.9bn annual cost of workplace injury and ill health
• 40.1 million working days lost
• 124 worker fatalities

Most of the businesses we audit aren’t reckless.
They just haven’t had time to step back and sense-check things.

In the 103 SME audits we completed, the majority had gaps.
Not disasters. Just gaps that quietly create risk.

Sorting it early is always cheaper than sorting it late.

If you want practical insight on this without overcomplicating it, follow Salusphere Global and feel free to connect.

We share straight talking guidance for SME owners who want things done properly without the corporate fluff.

We don’t have a stress policy problem!

We have a leadership capability problem.

Real protection doesn’t come from paperwork.

It comes from managers who spot pressure early, have real conversations, and take action before people burn out.

If your wellbeing strategy lives in a folder, it isn’t protecting anyone.
Stress management starts with leadership. Not paperwork.

👉 Book a free exploratory call with the Salusphere Global team
Let’s assess where you are today and map simple, practical steps to strengthen leadership capability and reduce organisational risk.

For years, “stress management” in the workplace has been synonymous with the annual risk assessment. A document completed, filed away, and often forgotten until the next audit.
