As the year comes to an end, it’s the perfect time to reflect, and to look ahead at what Therapy Talks 2026 has in store.

On 20th March, 2026 - we’ll be welcoming ASLTIP members, non-members, and students from across the UK for a day focused on clinical excellence, business innovation, and professional growth.

New sector-wide Consent Principles have been launched by HCPC and partners across health and care to help improve patient safety and reduce harm.

The principles are built around a simple idea:
👉 patients should be equal partners in decisions about their care.

They focus on:
✔️ Shared decision-making
✔️ Clear, personalised information about risks and benefits
✔️ Ongoing conversations, not one-off moments
✔️ Supporting people to make the choices that are right for them

Too often, failures in consent lead to harm and loss of trust. These principles aim to change that by putting people back at the centre of care.
