Most people wait longer than they need to.

They're not sure if what they're feeling is bad enough to do something about. They think they should probably just push through, or that it'll settle down on its own. They're not sure what they'd even ask for.

If that's where you are, this is what I'd say: you don't need a diagnosis, a referral or a specific incident to justify getting support. You just need to have noticed that something isn't right.

I work one-to-one with adults in London who want to feel stronger, steadier and more comfortable in how their bodies move through everyday life. Sessions are calm, unhurried and built entirely around you.

The first conversation is just that — a conversation.

At some point, most of us make a quiet decision.

That the stiffness in the morning is just how things are. That the tight shoulders are the price of a long day at a desk. That feeling unsteady on the stairs is something you simply have to manage.

It's an understandable decision. But in my experience, it's usually the wrong one.

In almost every first session with a new client, there's a moment where they say something like: "I thought I just had to live with it." And more often than not, within a few weeks, they've changed their minds.

The body responds. Often more readily than people expect — at any age. What it usually needs isn't more effort. It needs the right kind of attention: precise, calm, consistent movement work that addresses the pattern, not just the symptom.

If you've been quietly putting up with something, it might be worth a conversation.

I spent my twenties as a professional ballet dancer with CAPAB Ballet Company in Cape Town. My whole life was about understanding how the body moves, how to control it, how to push it, and how to look after it. When I stopped dancing, I didn't want to leave that world behind, so I built a career around it.

Today I work one-to-one with adults in London, helping people recover from injury, correct long-held postural patterns, build strength safely, and feel more confident in how their bodies move through everyday life. It's quieter than the stage, but I find it just as meaningful.

If you'd like to know more about working together, my details are in my bio.

If you're reading this at your desk, step away from it.

Your lunch break is one of the most underrated things you can do for your body. Not to exercise, not to be productive, just to move, breathe and give your spine a break from the position it's been in since 9 am.

First week back after Easter, nearly the end of the week — your body has earned a proper break today.

Swipe through for five simple things to do with the next hour that will make a real difference to how you feel this afternoon.

Save this for tomorrow, too. Tanya x

Most people assume stiffness, pain, or weakness is just part of getting older.

It isn’t.

In most cases, it’s the result of how your body has adapted over time, poor movement patterns, loss of strength, or compensation after injury.

The problem is, no one ever teaches you how to correct it properly.

Once you understand what your body is doing and why, things start to change.

If something doesn’t feel right when you move, it’s worth paying attention to it.

Some weeks are calm.
Some weeks test your patience.

Technology misbehaves.
Plans change.
Things refuse to cooperate.

The body still responds the same way it always has.

Breathe.
Move.
Reset.

Movement clears more than posture.
Sometimes it clears the whole day. 💙

PS: I finally joined the AI image bandwagon for this one.😂..It has been a long week. Happy Friday!

Most people think movement means doing more.

More workouts.
More reps.
More effort.

But your body doesn’t need more.
It needs better movement.

When your body moves well, strength improves, posture changes, and pain often disappears.

Movement done intelligently changes everything.
