Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss is an ENT EMERGENCY ๐จ
This is usually unilateral, followed by tinnitus and possibly dizziness as well.
Do not delay seeing a hearing specialist if you notice that something is not quite right.
If no wax, otitis externa or otitis media are found, use of steroid is the right treatment to be administrated and better still if given before 72 hours of the onset, when the chances of recovering the hearing- at least partially are higher.
