Well it’s another gloomy day & my Christmas winter rose that I was given was feeling a bit sorry for herself! 😔

🪴 So I decided to give her a bigger pot & some lovely new soil to perk her up!
I have to say she definitively looks a bit happier! When she’s a little bigger I shall plant her in the garden. 🌞

Did you know.. the Christmas rose is actually called a Helleborus niger, is an evergreen perennial flowering plant in the buttercup family! 🌼

Did you notice a change in one of our services? Before Christmas, we made the decision to rebrand our ‘Dementia Cafes’ to ‘Memory Cafes’ based on feedback.

We hope that this new term reflects the warm and welcoming space these cafes are, and invites anyone who may be struggling with their memory, regardless of diagnosis, to access support.

We all tend to feel a bit down after Christmas.

Here are some top tips to help us through the winter months!

🌞 Try creating a light and cosy home to help support our mood and health.
Natural light helps regulate sleep and energy levels, by opening curtains wide each morning and sitting near sunny windows can help brighten your day.

🌺 When it’s difficult to get outside, bring nature indoors with houseplants or fresh flowers. Even simple activities, such as watching birds from your window, can provide a much needed meaningful boost during the winter months!

☕️ Sharing a cuppa & some company is a great way to brighten your day.
