A lot of people notice that ni**les are often the same side.

The same shoulder. Same hip. Same side of the back, it’s not usually random.

But it can sometimes just be the way you move, sit, train, or load your body day to day.

One side ends up doing a bit more than the other.

Small things like switching sides, changing position more regularly, or adding a bit of movement usually help balance things out.

Not all headaches actually start in your head.

Sometimes they can be caused by tension in the neck and upper back, especially if you’re hours at a desk or holding the same position.

That tension can refer pain upwards, which is why it feels like a headache.

A few simple things that can help:

🔹 Changing position regularly
🔹 Taking short breaks from your desk
🔹 Keeping your neck and shoulders moving

Sometimes it’s just about looking in the right place.

Happy Easter weekend 🐣

It feels like a great excuse for a slightly slower few days, more time outside (if the weather plays ball), a bit less rushing around.

We are open on Saturday, then closed until Tuesday if you need us before the long weekend.

Let's hope there’s a bit of chocolate involved somewhere too!

It's easy not to notice things straight away.

You just start doing a bit more, getting outside, doing some gardening, ticking off the jobs you haven’t done in a while.

Then something feels a bit off.

A tight calf, a sore back, a ni**le in your neck, something that wasn’t there a couple of weeks ago.

Most of the time, it’s nothing serious, some gentle stretching and rest can help.

But if something’s not settling, it’s worth getting it looked at.

We see quite a few people with things that won't completely go away.

It might ease off for a bit, then come back again, such as plantar fasciitis, tendon pain, that kind of thing.

Shockwave therapy is a treatment we sometimes use in those situations.

It helps kickstart the body’s own healing response and can work really well for longer-standing issues.

It’s not for everything, but when it is the right fit, people often notice a difference pretty quickly.

Sitting for hours, standing in one place, or even training in exactly the same way over and over again can add up. Most bodies don’t love doing the same thing all day.

We tend to see people feel better when there’s a bit of variety.

A walk, a stretch, a change of position, breaking things up slightly and not staying in one position for too long.

It can be the small changes that make the difference.

Walking is one of the most underrated things you can do for your body.

People can quite often look for something more complicated - stretches, exercises, routines, when actually just moving a bit more day to day makes a big difference.

It helps keep things moving, reduces stiffness, and gives the body a chance to settle.

It doesn’t have to be a long walk or a big plan.

Just getting out for 20–30 minutes can help more than people expect. Nothing fancy, just something that works.

We really appreciate feedback like this.

It’s easy to put things down as just one of those things, a bit of a ni**le, something that comes and goes.

So when someone finally gets an answer and starts feeling better, it really means a lot to us.

A lot of people are curious about acupuncture but aren’t too sure what to expect.

The needles used are extremely fine, and most people are surprised by how comfortable the treatment actually is.

Acupuncture and dry needling are often used to help with:
🔹 Muscle tension
🔹 Pain relief
🔹 Improving how muscles function
🔹 Reducing trigger points in tight areas

It can be used on its own or alongside hands-on treatment and exercise.

A lot of people think of massage as something you book when you want to relax.

But many of the people we see use massage to help with muscle tension, recovery from training, or the effects of long hours sitting at a desk.

It can help with things like:

🔹 Back, neck and shoulder tension
🔹 Posture-related tightness
🔹 Sports and training recovery
🔹 Headaches linked to muscle tension

Sometimes it’s about easing pain or discomfort, sometimes it’s simply helping the body reset.

There are a few questions we hear again and again in clinic.

A lot of people are just trying to work out whether something is normal, whether they should rest, or whether it’s worth getting checked.

Often the answer isn’t complicated, it’s about understanding what’s happening and making small adjustments that help things settle.

Clarity usually makes things much easier.

Monday check-in.

Sometimes people feel great after the weekend when they've had more sleep, a bit more time to move.

Other times it’s the opposite: a long run, a gym session, DIY, gardening, or just a lot of sitting catching up on work.

However your body’s feeling today, a bit of gentle movement can often help it settle back into the week.

Nothing complicated, just a soft reminder to move.
