⚽ If you’re setting your sights on your first race of the season, getting back to five-a-side, or easing into training again after the festive break, but your body doesn’t quite feel ready yet, that’s a familiar January moment.

Motivation often returns before strength, mobility and recovery do. Those early signs - tight calves, stiff hips, a niggling knee or back - are your body’s way of asking for a bit of attention.

Paying attention to warm-ups, recovery and how your body responds between sessions can make a real difference at this stage - especially before training intensity ramps up.

Our team includes chiropractors, physiotherapists and sports massage therapists, all working together to offer hands-on treatment, practical advice and care that’s tailored to you - not a one-size-fits-all approach.

Whether you’re dealing with something new, getting back to training, or simply want to move and feel better, we’re here to support you this year.

The first few days of January can feel a bit strange. Routines starting to return, but sometimes your energy doesn’t always come with them.

If your body feels a little stiff, tired or out of sorts after the festive break, it’s completely normal. Nothing’s gone wrong, it’s just part of easing back into things.

Try to take it gently where you can. A bit of movement, some rest, and listening to what your body needs can go a long way. There’s no rush to start the year at full speed.

That in-between period after Christmas can feel a bit strange. The busyness has eased off but things don’t quite feel back to normal yet.

If that’s you, you’re not alone. Try to give yourself some downtime where you can - a cup of tea without distractions, a light stretch, or getting outside for some fresh air.

Sometimes a small pause is enough to help the slower part of the season feel a bit easier.

After a few days of relaxing, travelling, indulging and likely sleeping differently, it’s not uncommon to notice a few aches or niggles creeping in.

If something doesn’t feel quite right and you’d like a bit of support, we’re open and ready to help. Whether it’s a stiff neck, a sore back, or something that’s been quietly building for a while, you don’t have to wait it out on your own.

Sometimes a little care at the right time can make all the difference.

We're really grateful to have received some fantastic reviews this year and we wanted to say thank you.

It means a lot when people take the time to share their experience with us, whether it's about feeling listened to, being able to move more comfortably, or getting back to the things they enjoy doing.

Every review helps us understand what we're doing well and reminds us why we do what we do every day.

Thank you to everyone who's trusted us with their care and taken a moment to leave a review, it means a lot 🙏

People quite often book massage when things feel tight or sore, but regular massage can make a big difference even before pain shows up.

If you train a lot, sit for long spells or carry tension in your shoulders (lots of us!), massage can help you move better and feel lighter day to day.

A few of the benefits clients often tell us they notice:

🔹 Shoulders feeling looser
🔹 Sleeping better
🔹 Recovery after training quicker

Sometimes your body just needs a bit of hands-on care.

If you've been feeling tense this might be the reset you need.

Knee pain is one of those things that can sneak up on you, especially if you've been walking more, training harder or spending long days sitting.

The tricky thing is knee pain sometimes isn't about the knee.

Tight quads, weak glutes or stiff ankles can quietly force the knee to take on more than it should.

A few simle movements can help:

🔹 Gentle quad & calf stretches
🔹 Glute stengthening (bridges, clamshells)
🔹 Avoid big jumps in running/walking distance

If your knee keeps complaining, it's a sign something further up (or down) the chain needs attention.
