Weekends are where temptation can creep in. You might grab a coffee and a treat, have a movie night in with an array of snacks. Or just fancy a takeaway and dodge the dishes. It's the time in the week when we can overindulge and consume more than our bodies need, or too much of the wrong stuff.
So today, I'm going to educate you about satiety, which is simply the feeling of fullness and satisfaction after eating. Learning to recognise true hunger and fullness cues can really help build a healthier relationship with food. Sometimes we reach for food out of habit, boredom, stress, or tiredness rather than genuine hunger.
Today’s challenge is about awareness. Before reaching for food today, pause for a moment and reflect on what might be making you feel hungry. Is it true hunger, or could it be something else?
The educational information will help you to decipher which it is and give ideas about how to overcome it.
