How Do I Prepare for the New Year as a Life Coach?
Do I make a goals list or a wish list?

The answer is both yes and no.

Yes, I do create a list of “goals/dreams" for myself. The main reason for this is that it helps my brain function more effectively. I love lists—things to do, to buy, to give, daily, monthly, yearly plans. It’s how I organize my mind. That’s exactly why I prepare a list for myself before stepping into the new year.

First, I write down everything that comes to mind—uncensored, without editing or overthinking.
Then, I revisit the list and ask myself: Do I really want these things? Am I willing to work for them? Are these goals and desires aligned with the rhythm of my life and my personal philosophy?

The last thing I want while chasing my goals and dreams is to create a false sense of failure within myself. That’s why I avoid setting goals that I won’t commit to (not can’t, but won’t).

Now, for the “no” part: I don’t view this list as something that must happen or else everything falls apart. Life can change at dizzying speeds, and my goals, desires, and dreams adapt to that flow. Throughout the year, I regularly revisit my list. Sometimes, I update it, and sometimes I completely remove items, and other times, I replace them with new ones. For me, the list isn’t a source of pressure but a tool to make life easier—a reminder to keep me on track.

So, here’s what I suggest: if you think it will be helpful for you, take some time to create your own list for 2025. Don’t put it off. And even if you think, “I know myself, I’m fine as I am,” I still recommend making a list. What’s the harm? You might surprise yourself 😉

At this point in my life, I realised I don't need too much. Peace... that's it. For me, it means a dog, a comfy chair, coffee, and a good book.
What does it mean for you?
What do you need in life?

I know I should post some related content, but well... let's face it, this is better than anything.
1- Ziggy giving Naomi Campbell a cat walk lesson (yes, I am that old)
2- Cooper is judging all my life decisions, and she is usually right.
3- Georgie is showing you how to pose like you don't care
4- Trevor is having a big stretch, so you know what to do. ( if you don't know, you need to say ooo, it is a nice stretch bubba with an optional ear rub. I lied, ear rub is mandatory)
5- Ian waiting his treats at the pub, being this pretty pays well. You can look but you can't touch.
6- Poppy is getting ready to interrupt, sorry attend, every meeting at the office. She has great insight about treats and how to find them.
7- Bertie is giving you the cutest look possible. He says he had this gift since the day he was born. Heart melting with puppy eyes...
8- Alfie is showing you how to pose for an album cover, look a little grumpy, and also handsome and irresistibly cute. This is a talent. Don’t worry if you can't. Not everyone can pull it.

I ask questions to understand. I ask questions that makes you see things in a different angle. I ask questions so you can distance yourself a little bit and see things in a wider view.

N. Nazlı Yüceloğlu

Hello, I am Nemide Nazlı Yüceloglu (Naz). I am an ICF ( International Coaching Federation) certified Life Coach and an NLP(Neuro-Linguistic Programming) practitioner with nearly 10 years experience.

My coaching style is holistic and I tailor a unique approach for every individual. We are not the same and we don’t experience and understand the world in the same way. There is no such thing as absolute truth in life. Therefore your coaching should be tailored to YOUR truth, YOUR understanding and YOUR life. I am coaching your best self. In the end, it’s your life and you have all the answers.

Life Coaching is a process that helps people to create the changes they want in all aspects of their lives. Life coaches help people to recognize, identify, and understand their untapped skills, showing them the potential opportunities in life. Simply by asking the right and powerful questions, challenging them and trusting them.
