FUN ✨ AND ✨ GAMES

Keeping active is important for both body and mind, which is why it’s a regular part of life here at Belmont Lodge 💛

Today our residents enjoyed a fun-filled games session in the lounge 🏓 From table tennis to a lively game of snakes 🐍 and ladders with our inflatable dice 🎲, there was plenty of laughter and friendly competition.

With popular songs from the 1950s playing in the background, a sing-along was guaranteed 🎶
We then wound down with some relaxing meditation, followed by a very welcome cup of tea ☕️✨Forest Healthcare Ltd

Our weekly visit from Eve,our hairdresser, is always a big hit 😍

These beautiful ladies were more than happy to have their weekly wash, set and cut and enjoy the relaxing experience that is provided with having your hair done 🥰

While our well-being team continues to keep our residents pampered to the best of their ability, they enjoyed having a one 2 one manicure’s 💅 while enjoying a good natter and lots of laughter.

LIFE 🤗 SKILLS 🧽

Our residents enjoyed participating with life skills today 😀

Working with house hold objects helps some residents to stay connected to their surroundings. House activities can include everything from sorting and rearranging the cutlery drawer to washing and polishing folks, hoovering, folding the laundry, building and DIY inspired around occupations Our residents really enjoyed giving a helping hand today.

BAKING ⭐️MORNING ⭐️

We have been getting creative today 🤗

We have been baking spectacular shortbread cookies for everyone to enjoy 🤩

Whist everyone decorated these baked treats, they enjoyed chatting about memories it brought back, from when they all enjoyed baking for their families It was wonderful to hear about all of the connected memories that were brought back.

The team said how wonderful they all looked !!!

🌟 Get Ready to Get Moving! 💪 What a way to kick off the weekend! With our Friday morning exercise session with Burns Gym at Belmont Lodge was a total hit! 🎉Our residents were on fire—dancing, stretching, and sharing laughs. ANYONE FOR A GAME OF BINGO ✋WITH PRIZES 🤗

Today we had so much fun 🤩 enjoying a game of bingo with plenty of winners 🥇

Playing bingo has many health benefits for our residents. It takes concentration which improves listening and short term memory skills, and it promotes socialisation which is really important for our residents to maintain a happy and healthy lifestyle.Forest Healthcare Ltd

Today was filled with both smiles and reflection at Belmont Lodge 💛
We enjoyed celebrating Sabar’s birthday alongside fellow residents, and as it is also his Christmas, we send our warmest Merry Christmas wishes to both Sabar and Adil 🎂🎄

Today also marked what would have been our beautiful resident Christine’s 90th birthday. Christine sadly passed away on Saturday, and although this is not something we usually share, it felt important to honour her life and the special place she holds in our hearts.

Christine brought so much warmth, kindness, and joy to our home, and her memory will always remain part of Belmont Lodge. We send our love and deepest condolences to her family and thank them sincerely for the lovely cake brought in to remember Christine — such a thoughtful and touching tribute.

MEANINGFUL ⭐️ SCRAPBOOK ⭐️ MAKING ⭐️

Today Our resident enjoyed creating meaningful scrapbook📔 to capture magic 🪄 moments of their life. And sharing their wonderful memories with everyone. 💕
Scrapbooking is great for improving memory skills and cognitive ability. Cutting and sticking photos is also good for dexterity and it all encourages relaxation.
