We’re proud to announce that Health Now Complex Care is becoming a supporting member with The Care Workers’ Charity 🩵🧡

Our care workers are at the heart of everything we do, and they deserve to feel supported not only by us, but by the wider care community. Through this partnership, our staff now have access to a national network of support that truly understands the unique challenges and pressures of care work.

From financial grants to mental health resources, The Care Workers’ Charity exists to uplift and advocate for those delivering essential care every day. By joining this wider group, our team becomes part of a collective voice pushing for recognition, wellbeing, and the professionalisation of care.

This isn’t just a partnership. It’s a promise.
To put care workers first.
To listen.
To invest in their wellbeing.
And to remind them they’re never alone in the work they do.

What Dementia Really Looks Like...

“It wasn’t just memory loss. It was mood swings. Confusion. A thousand small changes we didn’t know how to name.”

Dementia is more than forgetting names or misplacing keys.

It can affect communication, behaviour, movement, and even personality. And every person experiences it differently.

At HealthNow Complex Care, we understand how disorienting this can be, for the person living with dementia and for the people who love them.

That’s why we tailor every care plan to the individual, with a focus on:

🌱 Familiar routines and surroundings
🧭 Gentle cues and calm reassurance
🫶 Compassionate, consistent carers who understand dementia’s daily shifts

💬 Have you supported someone living with dementia? What signs did you first notice? Share your experience, it might help others feel less alone.

End-of-life care can feel overwhelming.

You might be facing tough decisions, new emotions, or just a feeling of being stretched too thin.

But here’s what we want you to know:

💛 You don’t have to do this alone.

💛 You don’t have to be the expert, the carer, the organiser and the loved one.

💛 And you absolutely don’t have to wait until it’s “too late” to ask for help.

Whether you’re planning ahead or supporting someone right now, Health Now Complex Care is here to offer compassionate, personalised care, when it matters most.

If you’ve been through this journey, what would you tell someone just starting out? Your words might mean the world to them.

Did you know end-of-life care doesn’t have to happen in a hospital?

Many people assume their only option is a clinical setting. But in truth, end-of-life care is more flexible and personal than most realise.

At Health Now, we support care that happens:

🏡 At Home: Surrounded by familiar comforts, pets, family, and treasured routines.

🏥 In Hospital: Working alongside your care team for continuity and dignity.

🕊️ In Hospices or Supported Living: Where added medical care and spiritual guidance can also play a role.

And we tailor every plan to the individual, not just their medical needs, but their values, beliefs, and wishes.

We ask:

🔹 Where do you feel most yourself?

🔹 What makes you feel safe, calm, and held?

🔹 Who do you want by your side?

Because your journey is unique. And your care should be too.

What would make you feel most at ease in a care setting? A favourite view, a family voice, soft music? Share what matters most to you in the comments.

What Families Wish They Knew Earlier.

“When Mum became unwell, we didn’t know what support was even available. We were exhausted and afraid of getting it wrong.”

So many families have told us this.

They thought they had to do it all alone. That end-of-life care was something clinical or cold. That they had to wait until the very end to ask for help.

Here’s what they wish they’d known earlier:

💬 That palliative care can begin early. It’s not just for the final days. It can work alongside treatment, offering relief and comfort for months, sometimes longer.

💬 That pain doesn’t have to be part of the process. Modern palliative care can gently manage pain and symptoms so that your loved one can rest, smile, and even enjoy special moments.

💬 That emotional support matters just as much. The right carer knows when to offer a tissue, a moment of silence, or a kind word. It makes all the difference.

💬 That spiritual care isn’t one-size-fits-all. Whether it’s prayer, music, ritual, or simply peace, what matters to you matters to us.

💬 That families shouldn’t have to carry everything. With the right care in place, you can go back to being a daughter, a husband, a friend, not just a caregiver.

If you’ve supported a loved one through serious illness, what do you wish you’d known sooner? Your experience could help others walking this path.

What Is End-of-Life Care, Really?

End-of-life care. It’s a phrase that can feel heavy, even frightening.

But at its heart, it’s about living with dignity, being supported, and making the time you have truly count.

At Health Now Complex Care, we believe everyone deserves to feel safe, seen, and surrounded by compassion - whether at home, in hospital, or in a care setting.

Here’s what end-of-life care really means:

🌼 It means pain is managed - gently, effectively, and with dignity.

🌼 It means emotional support for both the person and their family.

🌼 It means small comforts matter - a favourite mug, a warm hand to hold, a familiar voice.

🌼 It means honouring spiritual and cultural values, whatever they are.

🌼 And it means you’re not alone - not in the decisions, not in the care, not in the journey.

Over the next few posts, we’ll gently guide you through what families often wish they knew earlier about this type of care.

When you hear the words ‘end-of-life care’, what comes to mind? Has your understanding changed over time?

We’d love to hear your thoughts.
