Yogahome is a registered charity (reg no. 1119260) and our proceeds provide free yoga classes and therapeutic massage to schools and disadvantaged groups in Hackney. We are a community studio and the doors to our leafy oasis are open to everyone.

The session will bring in fascial release and somatic awareness movement threaded together with a flowing yoga practice to get into the deeper layers of the body. We’ll finish with guided meditation and Savasana to bring it all together.
After a slow, floor-based fascia-release sequence to remove tension and lubricate the joints and tissues of the body, we’ll build through a stabilising yet soulful hip-focused flow with options / alternatives for all.

This yoga workshop is designed for pregnant women and their birth partner, to prepare for labour and birth. It will give you a range of tools to help you feel confident and knowledgeable in your ability to birth your baby or support your partner during this special and sometimes uneasy time.
Being calm, quiet and relaxed can optimise the release of hormones crucial to labour and birth. Learning how to breath and relax can help you maintain a state of inner calm, especially useful if you’re in a hospital setting. And various positions as well as gentle movement can help the flow of labour. Being able to practice all this in advance means that you feel prepared, knowing what to do when the time comes, without having to think about it!

What we’ll discuss and practice:
✨ stages of labour and physiology of birth
✨ breathing practices for labour and for birthing your baby
✨ physical postures to help the flow of labour and for birthing your baby more comfortably
✨ restorative postures, self-massage and partner massage for relaxation
✨ mindful meditation practices to help reduce worries, doubts and concerns

The three-hour session will include a short break giving you an opportunity to meet with other parents to be. You will also be given a handout recapping the tools covered and a recording of the mindful meditation practises to download.

This workshop is suitable for all pregnant couples, whether you’re a first-time parent, a parent to four kids, an experienced practitioner or totally new to yoga!

Pranayama, the fourth limb of yoga, is described as regulating the breath so as to make it slow and subtle, leading to experience a steady flow of energy - Prana - and a state of profound presence and calm. The word pranayama means “lengthening the life force”.

From a more scientific perspective, many studies and research have shown how practicing different breathwork techniques regularly helps reducing and managing chronic stress and anxiety, as well as promoting focus, clarity, relaxation, better quality of sleep and improving lung function.

There is also a ‘’magical’’ aspect to the breath, and it lies in its ability to connect us with the subtle energies of the universe and nature, to manifest and transform.
You are invited to dive deeper and explore the power of your breath as a tool for self-regulation, healing and transformation.

During the 60 min class, Gigi will guide you through a balanced mix of pranayama techniques, blending into the practice gentle movements, meditations and an extended savasana. Each session it’s designed to switch the ‘reset button’ of your nervous system and bring the body to a natural state of balance and heightened awareness, leaving you feeling relaxed, nourished and regenerated.

Open to all, no previous experience required. Not suitable for pregnancy.

If your nerves often feel frazzled, you lose focus, are easily distracted and procrastinate, over-react to minor stressors, feel overwhelmed and find it hard to connect with those around you, then this workshop is for you.

This workshop explores the nervous system from the perspective of Ayurveda knowledge, focusing on Vata dosha characteristics, which is associated with the air and ether elements.

As we move into the colder months, this workshop invites you to slow down and reconnect with balance through the sister sciences of Ayurveda and Yoga.

Learn how to adapt your movement, breath, and daily rituals to stay grounded, nourished, and resilient through seasonal change.

You’ll explore gentle yoga practices to restore energy and calm the nervous system, along with practical Ayurvedic tools to support digestion, sleep and immunity. Leave with a deeper understanding of how to care for your body and mind as the seasons shift — and how to carry that sense of harmony into your everyday life.

All participants will receive gifts of calming herbal tea and a soothing nervous system essential oil blend to take home and notes from the workshop.
