CACAO & KIRTAN EVENT

Saturday, October 11, 2025
4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
£28

Join Joelle Green for an uplifting evening exploring the myths that inspire our movement and mantra.

The event will begin with gentle yoga to release tension and prepare the body and lungs for singing, followed by vocal warm-ups. After that, you'll be invited to sip on a cup of ceremonial cacao sourced by Joelle in Guatemala and blended with dates and plant mylk (please let her know in advance if you have any allergies).

Cacao is more than a delicious drink, it’s a heart-opening plant medicine rich in mood-enhancing compounds like PEA, often called the “love molecule.” It supports emotional openness, clarity and joy, perfect for what follows.

The second part of the event will move into Mantra in a Kirtan – call and response style, a soothing, life-affirming form of bhakti/ devotional yoga accompanied by harmonium.

Expect a nourishing, grounding experience open to all levels of experience.

📅 Sunday, September 28, 2025
🕑 3:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

The session belongs to a series of four pop-up classes inspired by four of the goddesses of yoga and Ta**ra – Durga, Lakshmi, Saraswati and Kali.

This is a Rasa-inspired yoga series, which includes Ta***ic theming and storytelling, playful vinyasa flow with intelligent sequencing, mantra, mudra and pranayama relative to each deity.

Rasa school of yoga was created by Sianna Sherman and Greta Hill, who Charli has trained extensively with, as well as with Rasa teacher trainer, Mischa Varmuza.

The goddess pop-up series is open to people of all genders, as working with the deities is about exploring different parts of our deeper Selves.

Pranayama, the fourth limb of yoga, is described as regulating the breath so as to make it slow and subtle, leading to experience a steady flow of energy – Prana – and a state of profound presence and calm. The word pranayama means “lengthening the life force”.

From a more scientific perspective, many studies and research have shown how practicing different breathwork techniques regularly helps reducing and managing chronic stress and anxiety, as well as promoting focus, clarity, relaxation, better quality of sleep and improving lung function.

There is also a ‘’magical’’ aspect to the breath, and it lies in its ability to connect us with the subtle energies of the universe and nature, to manifest and transform.

You are invited to dive deeper and explore the power of your breath as a tool for self-regulation, healing and transformation.

Join Gigi Pirozzi for this 60 minute pop up class and let her guide you through a balanced mix of pranayama techniques, blending into the practice gentle movements, meditations and an extended savasana.

Each session it’s designed to switch the ‘reset button’ of your nervous system and bring the body to a natural state of balance and heightened awareness, leaving you feeling relaxed, nourished and regenerated.

Open to all, no previous experience required. Not suitable for pregnancy.

ACTIVE BIRTH WORKSHOP

📅 Sat, September 27, 2025
🕑 2:45 p.m. - 5:45 p.m.
💰 £80 (price intended for mum + birthing partner)

‘Active Birth’ is a celebration of the miraculous design and unfolding of the hormone-driven processes of pregnancy and birth. It promotes an understanding of the physiology of labour and involves harnessing the body’s innate ability to allow birth to happen calmly and safely.

‘Active Birth’ was a term coined in the 1980’s by world-renowned childbirth educator, Janet Balaskas, and has evolved into a philosophy and global movement that empowers people to choose how and where they give birth.

Eppie trained at the Active Birth Centre under Janet’s tutelage and is a certified Active Birth Teacher. Her workshops for pregnant people and their birth partners involve:

✨ A common-sense, evidence-based approach to physiological labour and birth
✨ A practical, experiential journey through the stages of labour and the ‘golden hour’
✨ An opportunity to try out and practice positions and movement for effective labour
✨ Useful hypnobirthing tools, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques
✨ How to work with your hormones to encourage natural pain relief
✨ How touch, massage and partner support can help to create a positive birth experience
✨ A chance to reflect on decision-making, consent, control and keeping your options open
✨ How to combine Active Birth principles with medical pain relief or interventions if you need them
✨ Feeling more knowledgeable, confident and empowered to give birth in a way that feels safe and positive for you!

PELVIC FLOOR WORKSHOP

📅 Sunday, September 21, 2025
🕑 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
💰 £28

How connected are you to your pelvic floor?

Join Jayne Miller for this experiential movement-based workshop to find out! Bring awareness to the muscles of the pelvic floor and use this to create a shift in perspective, as we bring our knowledge into a flowing practice.

Our pelvic floor muscles can become too weak (hypotonic) or too tight (hypertonic), through a variety of reasons including stress, posture, childbirth, health issues, and as we get older – life! We will explore softening and releasing as well as engaging and toning the muscles of the pelvic floor in different postures through a gentle yoga flow noticing the connection between other parts of the body …

There’ll be a little philosophy, since the pelvic floor muscles have a special place in classic yoga, (mulha band, Vajroli and Sahajoli mudras) and explore how this can help or hinder us in our practice whether it is pranayama, meditation or inversions.

GIVING BACK: OUR CHARITABLE OUTREACH

At Yogahome, community has always been at the heart of what we do.

Alongside our classes, workshops and events, we are proud to run a charitable outreach programme that makes yoga, movement and wellbeing accessible to everyone - regardless of age, background or circumstance.

What we do:

✨ We offer free and subsidised classes to local schools, refugee groups, carers, people with disabilities, and those who might not otherwise access yoga and movement.
✨ We partner with local organisations to bring the benefits of mindful movement, breath and relaxation into the wider community.
✨ We provide a welcoming, inclusive space where everyone can experience the physical and mental health benefits of practice.

Why it matters:

Wellbeing is a right, not a luxury. Through our outreach, we aim to reduce isolation, build resilience, and offer tools for both physical and emotional health — especially to those who need it most.

How you can supportus:

Every time you join a class or roll out your mat with us, you’re helping to fund this work.

Together, we can ensure yoga and wellbeing practices reach far beyond our studio walls.
