ππΌππΌππΌ ....... hey y'all, its been awhile .
But wanted to share with you, that when I am experiencing a difficult emotion such as fear, frustration, grief, or simply just feeling overwhelmed, I donβt push it away. Well atleast I try not to.
I try to acknowledge and compassionately accept that difficult emotion, because it gives me an opportunity to get to understand myself and in turn know me better.
You see..... when I am able to extent compassion towards myself, I am also then better able to extend the same to my clients and others.
Currently, I am going through such big transitional period in my life, that practicing self compassion and extending kindness towards myself is paramount.
Giving birth to twins, via emergency Cesarean section, sleepless nights, buying a house and moving home, etc etc.. all within two months, has all the ingredients for postpartum depression. (π just to list a few)
So yes, I am acknowledging that 'It's Time To Talk' as one method of expressing self compassion.
Talking can be powerful in helping me self-sooth, in helping me getting to know what is taking place within me, as I process these emotions and learn to ask for help when needed.
So how have you all shown self compassion during these big transitions?
βββ... Come on, share some nuggets, tips and tricks with this new mummy on 'the block' π€ͺ
