Should you correct her? Many carers face this moment. Michele explains that reassurance often matters more than facts. Michele advises that emotional reassurance often works better than correction. Challenging her belief may cause distress, so it’s often kinder to join her reality, rather than correct it. Reassure, redirect, comfort.
