The project
Meticulously crafted from blown glass with an intricate metal framework and accents. The centrepiece is a metal spine that references the nervous system. With several separate glass chambers and connecting hoses- smoke fills the negative space . This aspect serves as a powerful metaphor for the absence of a limb ,and the complex sensations associated with phantom pain. As well as referencing the power of healing.

After lots of late nights, parts are fitting well, last week was on to get all plated in silver . looking gooood now back for assembly before photoshoot this Friday ..so excited as this project has a twist.

Thanks and for inviting me to speak at the conference today at barristers nine st Johns street , about injury claim. The audience were insurance case managers and solicitors the talk was about the importance of identity and expression in prosthetics from a psychological perspective.
