TW: Mental Health and Postnatal Depression ✨
Have a listen 🎧…I hope this can inspire others to seek help and or just talk to someone if they feel they can 🫂.
Just a snippet…
As a teenager my mental health was not in a great place. Looking back now and through therapy I actually famines an understanding of where, how and when.
As a young adult I never felt I could speak to anyone about my mental health, so I learned to keep my thoughts and feelings hidden, put on that smile and brave everyday with whatever it threw at me.
When I became a Mama, I experienced postnatal depression and although I had a loving and supportive family and network, at times I felt very isolated and lonely.
A saving grace was having both my Nanny and Nana just a stones throw away so I would visit them regularly and also the surestart children’s centres where I met other Mama’s and supportive staff.
The centres became a part of my support network and I made some lifelong friendships along the way 🥰.
Sending love and light into your day ✨and remember it’s ok to not feel 🆗 ✨
