🚶‍♂️ Walk & Talk – Carshalton Beeches 🌳

Sometimes the best conversations happen side-by-side, that’s why we’re inviting you to join the Band of Brothers Carshalton Beeches Walk & Talk.

A relaxed 1-hour walk, good conversation and a chance to connect with others in a supportive environment. No pressure, no expectations. Just fresh air and real talk.

After the walk, you are invited to grab refreshments together, because the conversations often continue long after the walk ends.

📍 Carshalton Beeches
🗓 Wednesdays
⏰ Meet at 6:15pm

Whether you want to clear your head, meet new people, or just get out for an evening walk, you’re welcome to join us.

📩 DM us for the exact meeting location or to find out more.

Meet Jimmy 👋

Founder of The Band of Brothers CIC and the driving force behind the movement. If there’s a walk and talk, he’ll be there!

Favourite stakeholder? 😳
Best walk he’s ever been on? 🚶‍♂️
And yes… we even touched on conspiracy theories 🤔

You’ll have to watch to find out 👀

It was great to welcome Luke Taylor MP for Sutton and Cheam to our Sutton Walk & Talk earlier this month 👣💬

These sessions create space for open conversation, connection, and support. It was great to see this recognised at a local level. 🤝

When we walk and talk together, we move forward together.

It all started with two mates going for a walk. 🌳

Now, The Band of Brothers CIC is a growing community of men coming together every week to talk, walk and support each other.

From that first conversation to regular walks:
📍 Mondays at Sutton
📍 Wednesdays at Carshalton Beeches

No pressure. No judgement. Just fresh air and real conversations.

If you’ve been thinking about coming along, this is your sign. 💬

Last year, we stood up at Sutton Soup and shared why Band of Brothers exists...to create connection, inclusion and emotional resilience for men 💬

We were honoured to be voted winners and receive over £1,000 🙏

That belief helped us grow, host more events and continue showing up for men who need a space to talk, listen, or simply belong 🤝

Last week we had the honour of coming back to speak at Sutton Soup and standing alongside so many other organisations doing incredible work. It was a powerful reminder of what community support can achieve✨

Thank you to everyone who continues to support us. Together, we’re making a difference 💙

A first look at our new allotment in Wallington, supporting Band of Brothers’ latest initiative - 'Gents Get Gardening'. We're more than a Walk&Talk group, with a number of different events for men to interact in, creating safe, supportive spaces where men can connect, talk and belong.

The benefits of gardening for men’s mental health and wellbeing are huge and include:

🌿 Reduces stress and anxiety through time outdoors

🧠 Improves mood and supports mental clarity

💬 Encourages natural conversation without pressure

🤝 Builds connection and a sense of belonging

🛠️ Provides purpose, routine, and achievable goals

🌞 Boosts vitamin D and physical activity levels

🌱 Fosters patience, responsibility, and self-worth

🧘 Supports mindfulness and being present in the moment

🥕 Offers pride in growing something from the ground up

Because, sometimes healing doesn’t happen in a room - it happens with soil on your hands and people beside you. Get in touch for more information 🗣

We're really encouraged, after spending time out canvassing the local area, armed with posters/flyers and speaking with local businesses and people in the community.

The support for men’s mental health - and for the work of Band of Brothers CIC has been genuinely humbling. From shop owners taking time out of their busy days to listen, to community members sharing their own lived experiences, it’s clear how much this work is needed and valued locally... 🫶🏻

None of this happens in isolation. Strong communities are built when people show up for one another and seeing local businesses get behind this cause reminds me why we started in the first place - to create safe, real spaces where men can talk, connect and feel less alone.

A massive 'thank you' to everyone who offered encouragement, conversation and belief in what we’re building. Step by step, together, we’re changing the conversation around men’s mental health! 💙

Tonight, proudly launched our 'Sutton Chapter' with a Walk & Talk through Central Sutton - bringing local men together to connect, share and support one another 🫶🏻

A great turnout that even saw our youngest member yet (face has been removed for safeguarding purposes); the conversations were wide-ranging and honest, touching on family, travel, food, addiction and work life. A simple walk, but meaningful connection.

🗣 We meet every Monday, at 6.15pm, in Sutton High Street. For those interest in joining this FREE community, please get in contact 💙
