Band of Brothers CIC was proud to host our regular Wednesday Walk & Talk group, in Carshalton Beeches. This week, we welcomed 7 men, enjoyed the evening sunshine and got in some miles and smiles, together.

Conversations flowed across many subjects, including health, travel, family, work and the ups and downs of life - giving everyone the chance to reflect on their week and to be heard. We even connected with a couple of new men, who showed interest in joining us on our future walks.

We meet again next Wednesday, for an hour's walk and some refreshments. Please get in touch, if you'd like to join us and benefit from our events. Remember: just one conversation could save a life.

Another great week for the Carshalton Beeches Chapter ๐Ÿ™Œ

We welcomed a new face tonight, which acts as a reminder of why we keep showing up, as well as some old faces we've not seen for a while... ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป

On top of that, weโ€™re also grateful to the support of 'Casa Ponte', in offering us a venue โ€” meaning weโ€™ll always have somewhere safe and dry to meet, no matter the weather, or how dark it is! ๐ŸŒง๏ธ

I remain grateful and humbled for the backing, the conversations and the community weโ€™re building together. ๐Ÿ’™

No judgement. No pressure. Because one conversation could save a life. ๐Ÿ’ฌ๐Ÿ’™

'World Su***de Prevention Day'
Sometimes, just seeing someone else push through and talk about it, gives others permission to do the same. Silence costs lives. Every voice, every story, every man matters! ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป

๐ŸŒ World Su***de Prevention Day ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ

Every year, too many men lose their lives to su***de. Behind every statistic is a son, a father, a brother, a friend. ๐Ÿ’™

Men are often told to โ€œman upโ€ or keep struggles hidden โ€” but silence can be deadly. Talking, sharing, and reaching out isnโ€™t weakness โ€” itโ€™s strength.

Today we remember those weโ€™ve lost, we stand with those who are struggling and we keep working to break the stigma around menโ€™s Mental Health.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Check in on your mates.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Start the conversation, even if it feels awkward.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Remind them theyโ€™re not alone.

Because one conversation could save a life. ๐Ÿ’ฌ๐Ÿ’™

Despite the dreary weather, Band of Brothers CIC 'Carshalton Beeches Chapter' welcomed 6 members tonight, for a walk and refreshments - one of which was attending for the first time.

With conversation, ranging from work, children, car repairs and the weather, as well as some banter, everyone spoke of the good and bad of their own week, free from judgement or pressure.

If you'd like to join a peer-to-peer supportive community locally, we meet every Wednesday, at 6.15pm for a walk and refreshments. We welcome any man over the age of 18, to join our FREE membership events.

If you're interested in the health benefits of regularly walking and the advantages of making new friends, with people who care about you all-week round, not just for the event, simply get in touch! ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป

Set-up by locals, for locals, every Wednesday our 'Carshalton Beeches Chapter' meets to get in our smiles and miles, taking in a variety of beautiful local spots for our FREE Walk&Talk Group.

Over the last few weeks, we've welcomed lots of NEW local men and the group has gone from strength to strength, starting out as a peer-to-peer support group, but has now become a great opportunity to catch-up with friends, as the sense of camaraderie grows throughout the Band of Brothers CIC brotherhood.

We go again next week, but we also have several other local events, including our regular and permenant 'Gents Get Gaming' drop-in sessions, on a Sunday, in Sutton. Please feel free to TAG a man-mate who might benefit from our Community. Please continue to LIKE and SHARE our page, to help us help those who might need us? For more information, please drop us a message.

Our peer-to-peer support groups are run by local men, for local men and tonight saw the 'Carshalton Beeches Chapter' reconvene for another sunny evening stroll, enjoying the beauty and tranquility of the local area, once again getting the smiles and miles in.

We're delighted to have reached even more men this week, with attendance growing across our free member's groups. We owe a lot of this to the support we've received from our followers - please continue to tag a man-friend, who might benefit. As always, we go again next week, so if you'd like to get involved, please get in touch.
