Meet the Team – Cheryl
This is Cheryl, our Cluster Lead at Dignity, Funeral Arranger, and Masonry Expert.
What inspired you to work in the funeral profession?
I grew up very close to Golders Green Crematorium and always admired the prestige of funerals. As I got older, I realised I also had a passion for helping people.
What do you find most rewarding about your role?
Knowing that I have given my best to every family. After years of experience, I can confidently offer families a wide range of choices and guide them in fulfilling their wishes.
How long have you worked in the industry?
22 years.
What does a typical day look like for you?
Emails! I support my team with their day-to-day needs, look after masonry clients (mainly at Kelly’s), and book funerals.
What makes your branch special?
We are directly opposite Hendon Crematorium. The branch itself is welcoming, spacious, and well-presented.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Watching football and Formula 1, going to rock concerts, and enjoying BBQs.
Something people might be surprised to learn about you?
I’m actually shy!
Do you have a personal motto or value you live by?
Laugh every day.
How do you support families with memorials, funeral planning, or specific services?
After 22 years of working across London, I’ve built a strong knowledge of care, memorials, and what’s possible for funerals. When families feel unsure, even a simple chat helps me guide them through their options and explain what can be done.
What would you like people to know about you and your role?
It truly is the best job in the world. Yes, the pressure is high, but being organized helps. This is my first leadership role, which can be challenging at times, but having such a great team around me is the best thing I could hope for.
