About Me | Robin Kiashek, Osteopath

As a London Osteopath and Naturopath registered with both The General Osteopathic Council and The British Naturopathic Association, I am committed to helping my patients achieve physical and emotional wellbeing. Throughout my career, this dedication has expressed itself in a number of ways. I have always strived to provide my patients with the highest standard of care and the most appropriate treatment for their needs. In particular, over the years, I have expanded my breadth of expertise to encompass a range of therapies, thus allowing me to offer each patient a bespoke treatment suited to them. You can learn more about my work as a London Osteopath, including how I can help throughout this site or read on to learn more about my qualifications and practice. My Qualifications

In 1996 I graduated with a Bachelor of Science honours degree in Osteopathic Medicine and Naturopathy from what is now known as The British College of Osteopathic Medicine (formerly The British College of Naturopathy and Osteopathy), an institution accredited by the University of Westminster. During my four-year course, I studied numerous medical disciplines including anatomy, physiology, pathology, orthopaedics, biomechanics, exercise physiology, pharmacology and clinical methods such as x-ray analysis. This was part of a wider curriculum of Naturopathic training which included applied clinical dietetics, hydrotherapy and stress management. In my final year, I worked alongside Dr. Hanratty, a general practitioner who had established a nationwide scheme called ‘Exercise on Prescription’. This scheme enabled GPs and allied healthcare professionals to refer patients with varying ailments, such as hypertension, diabetes and depression, for a monitored exercise regimen in place of prescribing medication. As a result of my research based on this scheme, I produced a dissertation entitled ‘The Effects of Exercise Training on Clinical Depression’. Even as I began my professional career as a London Osteopath and Naturopath, I never stopped learning and pursuing further ways to help my patients. I studied with International Teaching Seminars to gain a qualification as a Master Neuro Linguistic Practitioner (NLP) and to become an accredited Life Coach. I also trained with Dr Raymond Perrin to gain my practitioner licence in The Perrin Technique, a scientifically validated Osteopathic approach to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS, otherwise known as ME/Myelgic Encepholytis). My London Osteopathic and Complementary Therapies Practice

Today my London Osteopathy practice is based in two clinics in W1 and N2. There I continue to work with each of my patients to help them make small changes to their lives which may result in a big difference to their wellbeing. I apply my extensive training to offer an integrated approach to healthcare. From Osteopathy and Naturopathy to Life Coaching, NLP and The Perrin Technique, my patients can benefit from the right therapy for their needs. Tennis elbow is a common condition that causes pain and tenderness around the outside of the elbow. According to the NHS, it can persist anywhere from six months to two years.

Treatment combining osteopathic techniques with low-level laser therapy and/or acupuncture can help ease discomfort, reduce inflammation, and support recovery, while also addressing the underlying causes to prevent recurrence.

There are several ways Osteopathy may be able to help people living with arthritis:

This is what one person living with arthritis had to say about being treated by Robin.

“I make my living as a pianist, so it was a real disaster to be afflicted by severe osteoarthritis in thumb and fingers for a number of years.

“I have received various practitioners’ many attempts at treating my symptoms through physio and injections, wax baths and splints. However, when Robin introduced sessions of cold laser treatment to my sore joints, I was shocked and delighted at the almost instant reduction of swelling and pain. I receive regular treatments and now take on a full amount of playing work. I’m delighted and thankful to have discovered this treatment!”

RA Awareness Week 2025 will take place from 15th-19th September 2025.

Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease that causes stiffness and pain because of inflammation in the joints.

According to the NHS, GPs usually treat RA with disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDs). However there is a growing body of evidence that suggests natural approaches, like exercise, nutrition and Osteopathy—though the use of soft tissue massage—can be useful for pain management.

“Available evidence suggests that is beneficial for relieving pain and ameliorating quality of life and health index in patients with RA,” researchers stated. “Thereby, it should be available as an adjunctive nonpharmacological treatment in rehabilitation programmes.”
