Plant Spirit Medicine

Today I took myself off into the forest for a medicine ceremony

Working with what is present, deep personal process supported by plant kin

Pulling the Seer card I dropped deep into a language of symbols presented by the plants and wanting to express themselves on the page

On September the 20th we will be working in the ancestral realms with the plants revealing themselves at The Healing Garden

I have offered deep healing with these plants in the ancestral and energy realms over the years and they offer powerful pathways of awakening, as well as protection, for those initiates willing to step onto the path

Soul Midwifery

I still struggle to share the ineffable aspect of my work that is in the soul midwife realms

It was heartbreaking to be asked to hold a ceremony for a beautiful family after a devastating loss and yet a complete honour to be entrusted with it

The soul of this effervescent and luminous little one was quite something to support

Anchored by the great Ash and its wisdom as a portal and bridge. A tree kin that has held its keys out to me again and again to bridge these realms. I am bought to tears by these beings that defy understanding

We gathered with ritual and rite to support this little one across the threshold and tend to those left behind

As ever I am deeply humbled by the realms of the plant, tree and earth guardians - and the profound support bought by the elementals and the plant medicines

This beautiful ceremony was supported and held by the devotional mandala created by Emma . I cannot thank her enough. I knew that it was only Emma that would be able to bring the presence and energy needed for this work. I am deeply grateful she was available and worked hard to ensure the most powerful blessing point for the gathering

In this harvest I am so grateful for that unseen and ineffable force that works with us in service and love

There really aren’t words for what happens at the threshold

Deeply grateful for my community, you know who you are, who hold me so that I can offer this sacred service

Spun from the sun as it softens

A chance to give thanks for all that has been and all that has come to fruition of our toil, of that which will sustain us as we slowly descend into the cold night of the year

Remembering to pause at these great turnings of the continuum

Sacred Heartistry

So very grateful to for the most exquisite hand drawn scythe with cut medicines that has become the Wild Apothecary logo

For our local printer for bringing this logo to life with copper foil - the metal that corresponds to the heart

I will be bringing the first batch of medicines - an exquisite rose glycerite to our event this Sunday. It’s truly the most potent batch of rose drops I’ve ever made

To realise a dream which has been tended over so many moons is beyond words. The devotion to the plants, their whispers, to the slow sustained timing.

Wild Alchemy Apothecary medicines - small batches of healing herbs that have been moon gardened with so much beautiful intention. With incantations, song and so much love.

When you hold the process full circle there is so much reverence for each and every drop of the harvest. As Lucy Jones says - the depth of relationship and the gratitude to every ounce of growth is astounding.

Such deep gratitude to these plants that allow me to be a conduit for their powerful healing powers

Leo Season and the Lioness

The beauty pictured is Siberian Motherwort Leonurus Sibiricus. There isn’t a plant that more embodies this season than the Motherworts. Their stalks are strong, their small spiky burs protecting their flowers.

Leonurus Cardiaca, European Motherwort is a plant I have grown for the last three years and worked with throughout most of the last decade with clients. I feel incredibly compelled in my work to help to support the revival of native herbal medicine. Especially when it works so beautifully and is so easy to make readily available to all.

That said the other thread that has continually revived itself through my ancestral healing - is the work with the mothers further back in the Tundra. Siberia has always whispered into my consciousness, through reindeer trods, Amanita and most recently this beautiful friend. I have a faint sense of restitching and mending the severs down the line.

What I loved most about this particular one - which I bought home from the Healing Garden - was its obvious strength in adversity. It’s adaptation despite the conditions it grew under. It’s beautiful curve not stunting its flourishing. I was sure to exchange as much for it as I would have a ‘perfect’ specimen.

This feels like the encapsulation of Leo season itself - a spirit that triumphs in adversity and holds its head high. A pride in its journey. Victorious against that which would try to divert it. Heart led, full of fierce love, sending any fear into the earth to be transmuted. Support to stay rooted in the energy of the warrioress - heart led courage

Preparing the Harvest

Leo season is here and with it comes Lammas, Lionsgate and heart led love

These beautiful Mugworts (and probably a few mullein and yarrow babies too) are headed to Alice to continue life

It’s such a beautiful thing to feel your heart expand when your own abundance becomes so much that you can share freely the gifts of your harvest

This year Mugwort has blessed me with an abundance that has blown me away

I’m busy trying to harvest it all and make medicine - not wishing to waste any of its precious gifts of life

It’s getting turned into many many types of moon medicine - but if all I had was to harvest Mugwort alone it would be more than enough to do

My heart swells when I think of the journey this threshold keeper and I have been on and the many ways she has woven into my work over this last decade

I am beyond grateful she lets me offer her medicine to unlock the seers wisdom

My wish is for her medicine to travel far and wide and I know in the hands of wonderful wisdom keepers like Alice that is exactly what she’ll do
