Vladimir experienced severe knee pain for a number of years with an underlying back problem. After surgeries and multiple injections to his knee, the pain only got worse, forcing him to stop working and spiral into depression.

When he came to Proback, we conducted a thorough assessment of his condition and created a personalised treatment plan that included both Shockwave Therapy and Laser Therapy.

In just two months, Vladimir started feeling pain relief, was able to walk again and most importantly, regained control of his life.

Did you know spinal decompression therapy can effectively treat a number of disc related conditions including:

• Herniated or bulging discs
• Sciatica
• Pinched nerves
• Degenerative disc disease
• Chronic neck or back pain
• Spinal stenosis

The spinal decompression therapy table uses a very small amount of your body weight to gently stretch the spine. This might sound daunting but it allows for the reduction of pressure on the spine, letting hydration and vital nutrients back into the disc space, which is crucial to allow healing to take place.

Our spinal decompression therapy tables are highly innovative. Their flexibility in settings mean each individual patient’s needs can be targeted effectively.

Here’s our top tips for relieving upper back pain 👇

FOCUS ON YOUR POSTURE:
The more your head leans forward, the more pressure you’re putting on your upper back muscles, so try to keep your head in an upright position.

DON’T SIT AT YOUR DESK TOO LONG:
Sitting in a hunched position at your desk can strain your upper back so take some time away from your desk and keep moving as much as possible!

EXERCISE:
It’s great to work out those larger muscle groups, but don’t forget the smaller ones too. Focus on exercises that target your traps, back and neck muscles to help make them stronger.

Spinal Decompression can be used to target disc-related injuries.

It uses a small amount of body weight to gently stretch the spine, reducing pressure and pain in the back, and letting hydration and nutrients flow back in between the spinal discs.

This creates the perfect environment for continued healing and pain relief, even after the treatment has ended!

Is it good or bad for back pain? 👇

Swimming is actually a great form of exercise to relieve back pain! 🏊‍♂️

When you’re in the water, you’ll get a break from gravity’s pull by floating, which gently stretches your spine helping to ease the pressure and pain in your lower back.

From the front crawl to the backstroke - there’s lots of ways to swim and all of them help to strengthen your back muscles in different ways!

MYTH OR FACT 👇

Bed rest might feel good at first, but in the long run, it can actually make the pain worse!

Your body is designed to move and staying active can be a game-changer in your recovery journey.

By going on a walk, or even just stretching, you’ll help to reduce pressure in your spine, improve your circulation and eventually relieve your back pain.🚶‍♀️🙆‍♀️

So don’t spend the whole time in bed, make sure to get moving!

YOUR NERVES ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOU THINK👇

Traumatic injuries can have a big impact on your nerves, causing neck pain, headaches, dizziness, tinnitus and much more!

Using Shockwave Therapy, we can target the nerves in your neck, and increase blood flow into the area to speed up the healing process.

This can help ease the pain, improve your quality of sleep and reduce any headaches!

FIND HOW WHY YOU SHOULDN’T 👇

By sitting on a bulky wallet in your back pocket, you can throw your body off balance.

This can put pressure on your spine and lead to pain in your back, pelvis and even your shoulders!

Instead, make sure that your body weight is spread out evenly. Try using a smaller wallet or place it in your front pocket! This way you’ll be more comfortable and avoid any pain!

Suffering from a slipped disc? Start doing this now! 👇

- Take some time to rest and allow your body to heal

- Ice the area for 10-15 minutes, several times a day. This will bring down any inflammation causing you pain, whilst also preventing scar tissue from building!

- Get active as soon as possible! The more you move around, the better you’ll feel.

If the pain doesn’t go away within a few weeks, make sure you talk to a specialist!
