Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care at King's College London is the direct descendant of the Nightingale Training School established at St Thomas’ Hospital in 1860. We are the world’s first school of nursing. We are second in the UK and fifth in the world for Nursing in the 2017 QS World University Rankings. We develop leading-edge nurses and midwives of tomorrow – practitioners, partners, and leaders in their field. We have 200 staff and nearly 3,000 students. Our courses are spread across five departments: Child and Adolescent Nursing; Midwifery and Women's Health; Adult Nursing; Mental Health Nursing; and Postgraduate Research with activities that meets the needs of a wide range of healthcare professionals seeking continuing professional development.
