I started menopause at 41.
And I didn’t really talk about the symptoms back then not the anxiety, not the burnout.

I loved what I did. Truly.
But I was exhausted… physically, mentally, emotionally.

And one day, I realised II couldn’t pour from an empty cup anymore.
I had to look after number one.
Because if I didn’t… who would?

Here’s what to do instead ⬇️

1️⃣ Cut back on alcohol – For many women, regular drinking can make it harder to lose fat, especially around the belly. Alcohol slows your metabolism and encourages the body to store extra calories as fat. Reducing your intake can make a big difference to your results.

2️⃣ Move your body – Between work, family, and everything else, finding time for exercise can feel impossible. But even the minimum 150 minutes of moderate or 75 minutes of vigorous activity a week can boost energy, balance hormones, and support fat loss.

3️⃣ Stay hydrated – Your body is around two-thirds water, and losing fluids through sweat, breathing, and digestion means you need to top up regularly. Aim for roughly 2.7 litres (around 91 ounces) of fluids daily that includes both food and drinks.

🌟 Real Results from One of My Free Challenge Winners!

I wanted to share this because it shows what’s possible with simple, sustainable steps.

She joined my FREE 30-Day Walking Challenge in my Facebook group last month and won 4 weeks of 1:1 nutrition coaching with me.

Today was our final session together and her results are amazing:

Feeling constantly bloated during menopause? 😣
You’re definitely not alone, and it’s not just “in your head.”

As our hormones change during peri to post-menopause, our gut health takes a hit too digestion slows down, we become more sensitive to certain foods, and bloating seems to show up no matter what we eat.

But here’s the part most women don’t realise

Sugar plays a huge role in this.

Too much sugar feeds the “bad” bacteria in your gut, throws off your microbiome balance, and can make bloating, cravings, and even mood swings worse.

The good news? Small, simple changes make a massive difference.
