Disappointment can quietly drain your energy — especially when things don’t turn out how you hoped.

In this video, I share simple, grounded steps to help you:
• understand where disappointment really comes from
• regulate the emotional drop that follows
• reset expectations without losing hope

A little about me: my name is Philip, I am a counsellor in London helping clients to be the best version of themselves.

If you’ve been feeling let down lately, this one’s for you 🤍
Save it for later and share it with someone who might need it.

How to stop feeling stuck isn’t about pushing harder or fixing everything at once.
For many people, feeling stuck is actually a stress response — not a failure.

When stress builds up, your nervous system can slow you down.
That can look like low motivation, brain fog, or feeling frozen, even when you’re trying your best.

If you’re wondering how to stop feeling stuck, start here:
• Notice what stress is doing to your body
• Acknowledge the actions you are taking
• Release the pressure to solve everything right now

Self-compassion helps your system feel safe again — and that’s what creates movement.

It might be hard to believe, but... I've never seen The Sopranos!... As a therapist, even I'M shocked that I still haven't, but this was a great reason to react to Tony Soprano's first therapy session. Take a look...

It was a fantastic experience to see this as a mental health professional with fresh eyes because the first session is one of the most important hours for both the client and therapist. I think The Sopranos did a great job of evoking the common feelings and actions in that first session. As you can see I had a lot to talk about, and it was a lot of fun to watch.

This week I was given a video to blindly react to. Turns out it was the first therapy session from The Sopranos. I may be the only person in the world to sti...
