In some traditions, a hot cross bun was kept in the kitchen to guard the home and bless the bread made there through the year.
Whether you use a bun, a loaf, or just a spoken blessing, today is good for home protection, hearth peace, and quiet blessing work.

I’m so excited for the Teen Witch Open Days this weekend at the SheWolf Den! 🌿✨ SE9 Eltham
These sessions are for parents and teens who are interested in the new Teen Witch Circle pilot, beginning on 20th March – the Spring Equinox.
The Open Days are a chance to: • meet me in person
• see the Den where the circle will take place
• ask any questions
• complete consent forms if you wish to join the pilot group
The Teen Witch Circle will focus on intuition, symbols, grounding and respectful magical practice, within a safe and supportive space.
If you’re curious or thinking about joining, come along and say hello. I’d love to meet you.

🐍 Happy Chinese New Year
The Lunar New Year arrives — a turning of breath, a clearing of space, a fresh beginning.
Across the world doors are opened, homes are cleansed, tables filled, and wishes spoken so the year begins without yesterday clinging to it.
This year carries the spirit of the Fire Horse — fast, bright, and impossible to ignore.
Not a quiet energy… a moving one.
A year that pushes rather than waits.
Fire Horse years are said to favour courage over hesitation, honesty over comfort, and action over endless planning.
You don’t stand still in this current — you choose a direction and step.
So today in the Den we welcome renewal: clear what has become heavy, say what has been unsaid, and walk forward with intent.
May the coming year bring warmth without chaos, movement without overwhelm, and luck that meets you halfway.

🖤 Happy Friday 13th 🖤
My favourite day has come round again!
While some people are avoiding ladders and black cats, I’ll be doing the usual — tea in hand, candles lit, and probably talking to a plant at some point 😄
I’ve always found Friday 13th feels calmer rather than unlucky.
Things slow down a bit… you notice more… and you don’t have to push quite so hard.
So if today ends up different to how you planned — later, quieter, or gently changed — it might actually be doing you a favour.
